One of the long-standing issues with the French tech tree is the relatively small number of dedicated SPAA (Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft) vehicles available throughout the progression line. Compared to many other nations, France has noticeable gaps in its anti-air coverage, making it more difficult for players to counter enemy aircraft at certain battle ratings.
A potential solution to this problem would be the addition of the Cheetah SPAA variant. Introducing this vehicle would help strengthen the French anti-air lineup, provide better continuity across multiple battle ratings, and reduce the gaps that currently exist in the tree. The Cheetah’s capabilities would give French players a more reliable option against both aircraft and helicopters, improving overall balance and making the SPAA branch feel more complete.
What I mean is that vehicles such as the Cheetah CA1 could be added to the French tech tree. The Cheetah CA1 is very similar to the Gepard already in the game, with the main difference being its radar system. It would fit well as an additional SPAA option and help fill some of the gaps in the French anti-air lineup.
For a higher-tier vehicle, the Cheetah GWI could be introduced. This variant features upgraded equipment and improved systems, making it a suitable progression from the CA1 while providing French players with a more capable anti-air platform at higher battle ratings.
Looking further into the future, the Nomad SPAA system could also be considered for the Netherlands subtree, as it is expected to enter service around 2028. While it could be viewed as a copy-and-paste addition, it would still provide players with more SPAA choices and improve the overall anti-air coverage available in the tech tree.
