Now, the first example of the Swedish Army’s new Stridsvagn 123A has arrived in Sweden.
The vehicle was received by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) last Friday.
Initially, the first tank will be used to train instructors, who will then train tank crews and inspection technicians.
By 2031, all 110 Stridsvagn 122 tanks in the Swedish Army will undergo refurbishment and modification (REMO) in Germany, after which they will be redesignated Stridsvagn 123A.
FMV has signed the contract with the Franco-German defence company KNDS.
The complete Stridsvagn 123 system includes not only the tanks themselves, but also ammunition, simulators, training, administrative support systems, technical documentation, infrastructure, maintenance, spare parts, and maintenance equipment.
The formal handover of the system from FMV to the Swedish Armed Forces will take place later this year.

It’s most likely the exact same armour and composites as the current 2a7V-2a7HU and other 2a7s. Do you think Sweden have magical composite?
Literally the only way it’ll be better is the fact it has roof armour 🤷♀️ you are coping way too much to think that it’ll be better without a major leopard rework

there’s visible difference - swedish tanks have more composite on roof than any default leopards
Literally what I said. That means nothing lmao but adds a HE weak point and that roof armour is on other German exports and even some tech demos it’s again not special
