Also is the British harrier with AMRAAMs and 9m/asraam harrier one or 2.
IDK but probably a harrier II
The Sea Harrier FA2 has the best engine out of all the Harrier 1s and so would naturally be the best in terms of flight performance.
The Harrier T10, AV-8B+ and I think the AV-8B(NA) have the better engines at the moment for the Harrier 2s. Only the Gr7 has a slightly weaker engine at the moment. So any of those 3 are pretty close, with the T10 having the most drag.
After that, its a matter of loadout (and personal preference regarding the guns) more than flight performance.
The Sea Harrier FA2 is a Harrier 1. They were all (i think) just FRS1s that were upgraded with the new radar, engine, etc.
Depends on what you want them to do.
The Harrier 1 is capable of significantly higher speeds in dives and in a straight line, it can also reach much higher altitudes. About 10,000 more feet in level flight compared to a Harrier 2.
The sustained load factors are probably comparable for similar weights.
The Harrier 2 is probably overall better, but it was designed primarily by the Americans for the USMC. Meaning it was optimized to carry more weapons further.
There were a few new build FA2s alongside the FRS1 conversions as far as I remember
You can tell by the panels cut and modified on the leading edge of the wing
Still following this thread hoping to hear good news.
Was playing the FRS1(e) in sim today and had some great fun in it running air superiority.
It definitely feels better which makes me all the more excited for if it ever gets itβs full performance.
Gave the red team a good bit of grief :)
Keep up the good work Matrix and Iβll keep upvoting your reports haha.
Cheers,
