Imagine just how strong the Harriers will be if they ever get properly Buffed.

Buffed Harrier can go toe to toe with F-15 and F-16 if slow (400 knots or less) and low level
The 9.7 Harriers are going to slap hard this update lol.

The only thing that gives you trouble is the Mig-19, and even then you can still beat them
True MiG-19 is a good jet but the AIM-9 should clear them up as they dont have flares IIRC.
In game or IRL? IRL sure, but I’m talking about it in game.
In game, than no prolly would have a hard time.
Gaijin is just so annoying with this they have been given everything they need but just don’t listen.

I am still a bit unsure that the current Harrier can ‘easily’ kicks J-7’s ass.
Still, I admit that fighting against them has become much easier than before.
lot-lot much easier.
If it does, the J-7E pilot has equal skill to the average US premium player. I’m fairly confident that the J-7E could beat any other 3rd gen jet.
I am liking the new harrier changes, they feel alot better to use now. I’ve yet to play a match in the SHar Frs1, but I have hope.
I hope they go up because of this.
A properly modeled Harrier would wipe the floor with it below 15,000 feet. End off.
I have spend a stupid amount of time reading into the Harriers and have learned about many of the tactics real shar pilots used so that might help lol.
I would recommend using max 20 degree nozzles in sustained turns and only use flaps when in diving turns as the flaps currently bleed way more speed than they should.

I have no doubt about that, but we now have is ‘unfinished’ version which didn’t release the true power. isn’t it?
I like the current change more than ‘it never happens in one more year’, and can’t wait to see further updates.

I am still going to keep pushing.
As they stand now though the Harriers are pretty useable, where as before they where just kind of useless lol. I do have to try much harder than I should have to but I can pretty reliably take on the F-5 and MiG-21 and friends at 11.0 and below.
I still have some faith in the J-7 at that point.
But right now, it’ll beat a harrier in game.

The Harrier can match its ITR with VIFF and sustain better turns. Well J-7D at least I would need to see performance charts of the J-7E to know for sure.
But if the Harrier has a 7/1 advantage over a MiG-21 than it should still be equal at the least
