You can turn all the anime stuff off except the PFPs in the “kill card”. And the anime tanks do not scream “ONIICHAN” when you shoot them… yet.
Gameplay is inherently going to be realistic because the game itself is realistic, and there’s no such thing as an unrealistic battle.
What will be unrealistic is physics in arcade game modes.
Milsims are usually unrealistic because their physics are arcadey, and gunplay is like a child is using the rifle.

Ahhh so war thunder does a better job at actually simulating (giving you the closest experience to a real tanker/pilot) than games like Arma or DCS, gotcha

Arma yes, Arma 3 was built in 2011 and was made for potato hardware, and it was built from a training tool which doesn’t need realism outside communications. Arma 3 was surpassed in realism by shooters as a whole by 2017.
DCS trades blows with War Thunder every year or so.
War Thunder has always been a direct competitor to DCS, and has done a better job bringing people in because of that accessibility.

Jesus Christ, a stupid firework decoration has sparked a discussion about milsim and realism, this place man. Just put the damn thing in the fictional decoration and be done with it. Nobody should have this annoying decoration shoved down their throats.

However you’ve agreed that WT doesn’t do as good a job as either of those at providing the most accurate experience possible in a publically available video game.

Arma 3 isn’t realistic and has never been, but you can keep believing whatever fictions you want.

Feel free to define your ideal characteristics for a ‘realistic’ military game in relation to armoured/aerial combat
Physics and gunplay primarily dictate realism.
Tactics, clothing/skins/camos, etc have nothing to do with realism and instead has to do with history/preference.
There are a few videos out there discussing the difference between historical reenacting and realism.
You also ignored the ‘most realistic online game’, which entails more than just vehicle models being realistic.
Like I stated previously, allow people to turn off the SoundFX for it and keep the visual. Its a good medium ground. You can still see it without the annoying sound.
They’re not tagged as fictional because “fireworks exist in real life.”
But anime pillows are real objects too, and they’re still classified as fictional.
So clearly the tag isn’t about whether something exists IRL.

This argument does not work for war thunder. They changed physics for balancing and also limit equipment and their capabilities for the same reason. Arma 3 may not have the most robust physics engine but mods fix it and they don’t do anything for balancing purposes.
Physics has never changed for balancing in War Thunder.
There are zero vehicles with pylons missing a necessary weapon except for A-10A premium.
Mods have never fixed Arma 3’s arcadey physics, and they can’t.
There are many things. That have changed the stinger is the most prevalent one i can think of. They have adjusted aircrafts flight modules to help balance many times. They do not just go by real life performance.
Aircraft flight models have never once been changed for balance.
Flight models have only ever been changed in accordance with documentation, not balance.
The idea that flight model are the same as irl is a joke. Their are some that get close but half of the aircraft flying in matches should be wingless do to the over gs on the airframes.

No point “debating” with Alvis guys. It is impossible for him to see anything outside of his own thoughts, opinions, and what he himself likes or dislikes. Everyone else’s opinions and concerns are 100% irrelevant to him. He always acts like this on the forums. Either he is just a troll or is so self centered and self absorbed that he cannot even make an attempt to see, and even less understand, anyone else’s viewpoint but his own.
He also had/has a habit of editing his posts to make it look like he made a factual statement AFTER being called out for his false statements. Which he then uses to make it look like YOU replied to him with absurd nonsense. (And he of course refuses to admit that the edits he made flipped his statement from false to true. There are multiple mods that have called him out for it.) Don’t fall for that either.
Save your breath/keystrokes. You are wasting your time with him. I stopped wasting my time on him a long time ago.
