That was essentially my point, you can do good in a vehicle but that doesn’t mean it will play effectively if we uptier it. The T-50 would simply be dead if it goes up it’s inferior to the 3.3 T34 and all other tanks at 3.3
Is it inferior to the T-34 1940 though?
The 76mm isn’t all that amazing and reloads quite a bit lot slower.
Damage and turret traverse are better on the T-34 side, however.
The 76 is a lot more solid especially with angle pen, and armor wise it’s essentially a heavy when compared to the T-50. The t34 is essentially just a better T-126, better armor and gun and mobility (eh mobility is around the same ish iirc) for a slightly slower reload.
Also last I checked I don’t believe the 1940 can be penned in the chassis by a Crusader AA mk.1 from 800m away like the T-50
But it’s not a T-50 but an uparmored T-50
With 12mm of armor (only) on the very front plate and sides of the turret. It has less armor than that of the T-126 while retaining the cupola weak spot
T-126 has 55mm armor on the hull versus the 49mm on the Finnish T-50
T-126 is all around though unlike the T-50
Again it’s a worse 1940 T34 in 90% of aspects and a trade off version of the T-126
Also with the angle of the armor you have less effective armor than any T-34 you can’t tank a M61 round without the player having poor aim or you angling a lot and him still not knowing how to aim

Investigate what’s there to investigate? It’s a T-126 side grade at 3.0 less armor and more weak spots for better mobility. It’s still has worse pen and armor effectiveness than a T-34
Also I gotta ask but what round do you use on your T34 that you think it’s mid? I love the 76 I mean yeah above 5.x it’s pretty rough but it has really good angle pen
I finished my investigation.
It seems that the issue is that both T-50 Nikki and T-126 are mainly effective because of their armor against lower BR vehicles.
The T-50 is less armored but also has better reverse and a higher top speed.
Armor wise the T-126 is more like a KV-1 for <3.3 tanks.
So no reason to have that T-50 higher in BR than 3.0.
Again that was kinda my point, T-126 and T-50 are sorta side grades to each other imo T-50 isn’t worth moving past 3.0 since the armor isn’t effective enough to stop anything nor is the gun really that crazy with only 70mm pen

It’s not any different from the T-126. Both of them are incredibly good in downtiers but suffer a bit more in uptiers where their guns become inadequate and their armor easily bypassed by the American and German 75 mm.
