Welcome to the suggestion for the Ferret Mark 2 equipped with the 75mm M20 recoilless rifle! For the sake of Brevity, I will just be calling it the Ferret M20. This is a French modification of the Ferret armored car in an attempt to improve its firepower. The M20 recoilless rifle can fire the M310 HEAT-T round, capable of penetrating 100mm of armor. While ammunition and armor would be very limited on the Ferret M20, I do think it could have its place in-game, as a fast and capable low battle rating vehicle for the French tree.
History
A French Ferret Mk 2 in Algeria.
**Between 1956 and 1960, France acquired around 200 British Ferret armored cars for use in convoys, surveillance, and escort missions in North Africa, notably the ongoing Algerian War. It was used by the French 12th, 13th, and 18th Dragoons, as well as by the 1st Parachute Hussar Regiment. Both the Mark 1 and Mark 2 were used, the Mark 2 adding a turret with a 7.62mm machine gun and removing one crew member. **

In French service, many of these used a French AA-52 machine gun, and a few Ferrets were modified, fitting the turret with the 75mm M20. While an older recoilless rifle, the M20 nevertheless was effect against lighter targets and in a fire support role. However, as the Ferret began to show its age, and combat proved that an indirect fire support weapon was better suited to fighting in Algeria, the Panhard company developed the Model 245 “B” equipped with a 60mm Brandt gun-mortar. This vehicle, later designated the AML-60, began to replace the older Ferrets and M8 Greyhounds in use with France in Algeria.
