Feedback on PL-12 series missile balance changes in update

So it is the msl spreadsheet… have you added the impulse of the second stage though, PL-12A has another 12880N of force with a burn time of 5 seconds(idk how to get difference Impulse PL-12A to R-77-1 to 2kNs)

Simplified formula (when thrust is constant)

For a single-stage constant-thrust solid rocket motor (such as the r771), the total impulse is the thrust multiplied by the burn time:

  • I = F X t

For a two-stage thrust motor (such as the PL-12), the impulse of each stage must be calculated separately and then added together:

  • I= F_1 X t_1 + F_2 X t_2

——————————

  • r771 I=24350 N × 7 s = 170450 N·s(170.45 kN·s)

  • pl12a I = 34960 N × 2.5 s + 14105 N × 6.0 s = 172030 N·s(172.03 kN·s)

Ohhh I made a mistake for PL-12A calc oops

R-77 has slightly too much propellant amount/burn time.
Thrust to weight of missile is correct but it’s burning for one second too long, but has extra drag to compensate

The burn time of the PL-12/12A is longer than that of the R-77. If you calculate the two-stage burn duration of the PL-12.But the fuel mass of the R-77 clearly accounts for a larger proportion—37%.Frankly, the drag of the R-77-1 should be 1.7, the same as the R-77, not 1.65 like the Mica. By the way, the PL-12 is 1.6. Or perhaps the PL-12A should also have its drag reduced by 0.05, just like the R-77-1. XD

i’ve noticed the normal r-77 is very very close to being over performing in range, but it’s still inside gaijin’s 5% margin of error

lets hope something happens this major

The recent changes to the PL-12’s CG-to-stabilizer distance have severely reduced its turn capability with no meaningful compensation, making China’s top-tier ARH loadout uncompetitive, this nerf is completely unjustified.

We, like the families outside the ICU, kept track of time and hoped for a miracle, except our patient was PL-12.

Apparently R-73 on dev got hit with an AoA limiter, and handles like PL-12 lol

revenge, also watch em revert the “bug” they added themselves on the poor lil baby russian missile but not on the pl-12 family

r-73 and sraam both already had an aoa limiter, this makes the missile handle better and not stall themselves out too often, the thing that happened on the dev server is a glitch related to this aoa limiter making these missiles barely pull, even when they’re very far away from hitting this limit

How is this Revenge? The R-73 isn’t even comparable to the Pl-12.

It’s not like the RU playerbase were the ones to nerf the Pl-12 in the first place.

It seems that this is not the same issue, the problem with R-73 was just a mistake
