Based on what? You guys ask for realism well, here’s some realism: a range-based missile with some maneuverability at close range, but with limitations.
I have all three American top-tier fighters; they’re much better than the Chinese ones. Even the F-18E is more effective in the game, as my stats with it confirm. Anything else?

Let’s forgive the EF-2000; players have already complained a lot about it carrying AIM-120 missiles.
Pl12 has a mid-close range and has high drag, high energy bleed, and 20g limit, and can still be dodged in headon. I guess pl12 really had some limitations.
its quite fun to play it ngl, plus aim120d is quite good now.

Last time aim120 always misses at close range, i think it has improved now.

aim-120c-5/c aam-4 and even aim-120a/b and r-77-1 in some cases
witch is funny considering he can berly keep a plane above a kill per game, witch is also why he does not consider manuverability a problem bc he does not have the skill to even think about using the S+D tactic lol.

I love how this forum is so rubbish that the only way to ever make a valid point about the state of the game is by talking about KD in the air, where bots count as kills both in the air and on the ground, but what can I say, right?
That wasn’t the argument put forward; the point made was that the PL-12 is still more manoeuvrable than an AIM-120, yet nobody mentions that they only talk about how it can’t shoot down a plane from a range of less than 3 km. Everyone who knows even the least bit about the game has already said that the change has little or no effect on normal gameplay. The starting point has always been that they don’t want PL-12 to be an ‘AIM-120 clone’ they want something better, which is ironic.

Currently, the PL-12 or PL-12A at low altitude can only achieve a maximum overload of 22G (or even just 18G at high speed), which is worse than the AIM-120C before the 2.55 buff.
