not unrealistic both F111 and TORNADO ran low alt rush attacks at mach 1 all the time using very special radar ground tracking to keep as low as possible without crashing
yes lets just make stock grinding harder than it already is and uptiers even harder XD
to do that youd literally have to rework every br or planes with good BVR capability would literally be unkillable and can just kill farm
Should I do a suggestion or something about this physic ?
I’ve tried to do a whole subject but it got closed since other topics talk about the same issue.
most good players are not flying low alt only bad ones the buks missile cannot be multipath neither can the IRIST
most actually skilled players are pulling James strats climbing high above where radars cant see as they cant look vertical and dropping ordnance
I dont see that issue with that though.
At the moment you have BVR trucks balanced poorly against high performance WVR aircraft that can totally negate said BVR aircrafts only advnatage by flying low.
Id argue some are already at said higher BRs, such as a large chunk of the early Fox-3 aircaft (like Harriers, Tonka, F-4, Viggen, etc) where they are at the same BR or even a higher BR than significantly better performance WVR platforms like the F-16s, Gripen, etc.
It also gives a much needed buff for the SARH truck as well that are in the same position. (Not a lot you can really do in something like a Tornado F3, if literally anything gets into WVR range, even flying high to shoot down isnt consistant enough at the moment, meaning you can loose a fight you should have won because of a magical force field)
They wouldnt though. Why would they be?
You can still defeat the missiles kinematically, you can still notch and chaff, you just cant fly in a perfectly straight line, AFK, at 50m
you cant dodge if you dont have chaff and even if you do the lack of missiles would get you killed
for it to actually work you would have to give every 13.0+ plane a full chaff and full missile kit stock
I dont think full missiles is necessary, though giving all Rank 7s stock SARH I think would be a good change, and besides, removing MP would only make a limited missile count more effective, not less effective.
Stock chaff, sure its a long overdue change for rank 7/8+. But… it just seems incredibly wierd to me, to insist upon a mechanic, that quite notably degrades the gameplay for a large number of aircraft, because of a minority of players that have yet to grind a single mod, given its usually always the first mod AND cheaper than most, it is normally always everyones first mod.
So its not even about stock grinding, its about unlocking the first mod. So a requirement for MP, for every single person, regardless of whether they have 1 mod unlocked, or have them all, just for the sake of people with no mods just seems a little… selfish.
and even in-regard to “lacking missiles whilst stock” as a reason to keep MP is wierd given that a vast majority are probably fully spaded, just seems wierd to me, once spaded, that becomes a non-issue and you’ll be spending the majority of your time playing the vehicle in that state
45 cms vs 12 fox 3… MP is required
Just move down planes with very low CMs on a case by case basis. Multipath removal would of course mean that planes with lower CM count are more negatively impacted and that should be taken into account, but multipath needs to be removed for realism purposes.
Or move those with very strong BVR performance up, because they are no longer fighting with one of their hands tied behind their backs… Or at least some combination of both.
I dont think that “low CM count” should automatically mean a notably lower BR though, and F-16 for example still a very strong platform, but likewise I dont think having strong relative BVR performance should automatically mean a notably higher BR, like for example the Tornado F3 at 12.0.
So using those 2 examples, a Tornado F3 vs an F-16A is probably relatively fairly matched, despite being polar opposites with a reduction in MP. So both being 12.3 would be fine.
In addition to hurting poor airframes with good misisles, the MP height also hurts planes with very limited SARH missile loadouts, like the Mig-29s, Yak-141, or F-16s (at higher tiers). When you only have 2 truly good missiles(or even just 6 ARH missiles), them being entirely negated by multipathing doesn’t feel fair at all.
I think lowering it to 40m and giving rank 7+ planes stock chaff would be a good place to start.
Yes, take a plane like the J-15T or Su-30SM2. It would benefit and also get hurt by multipath reduction because the amount of fox-3s it can carry is a lot, but it also has a very short amount of countermeasures so it won’t be able to evade missiles as easily, so in either case both planes wouldn’t have their rankings changed.
In fact, removing multipath (while giving stock chaff) would actually be the most realistic change we can make while making the least minimal impact in comparison to other more realism changes.
I agree about the J15T, but I dont think the Su-30SM2 actually has that limited of a CM count. Especially given they are all large.
That’s true too.
