Probably this.
There’s so much wasted RP when you’re playing a tech tree that you’ve already completed it would be great to have something like this.

RIP every TT lineups also RIP the queue times as well if both 1904 - 1945 (early) & 1945 (late) - 1991 were separated MM. (Even then pre 1935 may complain about fighting 1936-1945 vessels).
Also as currently since day one, GL to single WWII aircraft against 1943-1945 ships.
Yes. but Volumetric made this happen much less rare
I would probably take away small maps from ground/air RB and sim
ugh. That would make me quit WT. I cant stand playing those empty fields they call “maps” of greater size.
Add - More tutorials. I can’t stress how many people don’t know how to notch when its such a key mechanic at top tier. Or just other mechanics that you don’t learn in game and have to learn yourself or with others. If I stayed far away from the community (like many players do), then I would’ve learnt Multipathing, Notching, dogfighting and such much later. It doesn’t need to be detailed, just a basic introduction that actually acknowledges the mechanic is in game. It’d massively curb the problem with high tiers of air where people buy top tier premiums and fly it with zero restrictions. If there are no restrictions, atleast give more pointers to help people.
Change - The grind. There’s so many potential solutions for long-time players who have grinded a tech tree and now have to grind another one for a slightly different experience. The bonuses we have are not enough and barely do anything. Something like what joshje suggested, but also maybe giving a bonus depending on how many lines you’ve completed. So if you’ve completed 2 lines in a TT, you only get 2 sets of the bonus (lets say 5% bonus, then 10% bonus for 2 lines (5%*2)). There’d have to be a cap at some point as people who have completed a lot of lines would just have insane bonuses every match, but it’d be a better system than what we have now (5 matches a day per TT section, small bonus).
Take - Crew Skills. Just a pointless mechanic. Either remove them entirely or make crews universal.
Change Br spread to be lower instead of 1 to be 0.3 or 0.7
Make all event vehicles TT or squadron
How about a completely new game mode for ground and air with only large maps so that player who want to play large maps can play that game mode, and people who want to play small maps can play regular ground/air rb
Id say that this mode exists, and called the SIM, but that would be not exactly fair as there are more differencess than only map size. I would love to see the “big map-small map” game modes tho, and to see 50 players on a big map at the time for example instead of 30. That would make big maps viable in my view
One thing I’ve always thought would be better is that if everyone just gets more crew slots at the start, and crew experience would change to per-vehicle experience (explained more below).
(this may even lessen ODL ? (but won’t stop it) )
Since the maps you get are random – e.g. in ground there are some largish, some small, heavy urban or country. Naval has similar big variations.
So when you have limited crew slots you can’t make a lineup that suits all situations, nor encourage trying out all vehicle types.
So I think something along the lines of:
The lineup would consist of 8 vehicles (if you have them) that you can take into the match.
4 of those slots would be limited in what vehicles you can take, separated into 2 groups:
The other 4 are free choice – take whatever you want (which can be more of the types of the limited choice ones)
If you don’t have enough vehicles you can get the random/basic ones similar to what occurs now, but only for the limited choice ones, not the free choice.
Crew experience would be changed from crew slots to something like experience with the actual vehicle. That is, it will be assigned to the vehicle and follow it. Essentially the RP earned in it, similar to the expert/ace counter now. The skills could be changed from the existing, but would still be things like faster reload (where applicable), repair, g-force. But not in a manner which is too extreme. (Get benefits for playing the vehicle lots, but not complete unfair advantage).
Don’t get caught up on the numbers I’ve given above. It’s just an example of a broad idea. e.g. Perhaps there could be 9 crew slots, with 5 of them free choice.
The overall idea is to encourage players to bring more potential vehicles to the match (i.e. not limited to the 5 free ones), but also not let them bring just 8 or more of the same type of vehicle – encourage varied game play.
Extra free-choice vehicle slots could still be purchasable.
Oh, and Air RB EC should never have been removed and should be re-added.
he’s got a hate boner for air RB, ignore him.
oh my god yes, we need tutorials that go in depth on how missiles work, and PROPER tutorials, not a glorified cutscene that cant be skipped.
lol, but what does he play then? because him prefering arcade or sim have basically opposite meanings
dunno, dont care lol.
