I noticed that along with the addition of the turret baskets and trunions to the abrams and Leo 2 was a FCS. Just like all the light tanks, the purple module. When moused over it doesn’t say anything. But I’ve seen tanks retreat even when it’s the only thing I break. Does it remove functionality/ disable something when broken?
It probably has no description due to Gaijin mistakes of not adding one, but yes, it does have a use and when disabled the vehicle can’t shoot. Part of the detailed extra modules update.
Yeah I get that. Can’t blame them it’s a huge game with many things that need attention at various priorities.
Jesus though, can’t shoot when broken. Holy cow. I thought it was just thermals and or laser rangefinder or something. Thanks for the info.
Actually, the vehicle can shoot back. Its just that their STAB, Thermals, Rangefinder, etc. are disabled, however they can fire back at you.
@nbeckberger
I thought it applied to every vehicle but seems to be a very few.
I think they only can’t fire back if its an IFV. Leo 2 and Abrams can still do it.
Maybe it’s due to an unmanned turret, or the presence of a of a backup trigger on the M1 and Leo 2?
Ah ok. Still a hefty hit. Thanks for the correction. You’ve probably just saved me rushing guys down when I break their FCS thinking they can’t shoot.
(Not blaming Kohctahtnhobny7 of course. Also sorry for name misspell but I can’t copy past at all for some reason)
Yeah only abrams (all of them pretty sure) and domestic leopard 2s, the NL and other country ones don’t have them or the trunions. Not that trunions matter cause when broken doesn’t hinder elevation, if they even can believe broken.
Exactly. Although there are even exceptions to this. 99% sure the scimitar and desert warrior can shoot. (Although for DW no LRF, TVD, or ATGM. But you can still shoot the ATGM just can’t guide it. Idk if that’s a big but it’s been handy a couple times lol)
