I would like to know if there are solid sources on which ammo like the “DM51” for the SUB-I-II or other vehicles are based on.
Ammo seems to be the main BALANS factor for this game full of realism (aka realistic battles).

Thats standart 20mm ammo, DM → Deutsche Modellbezeichnung → German Modelname
And overall that is no secrit, its quite available on the internet. Appart from that you dont even mention what exactly you mean, if something should be wrong. And it certainly isnt fantasy.

I thought you’ll be talking about soviet AA missiles, not about some stuff you just came up with(
Ammo penetration is not changed in War Thunder by the devs.
Funny about that is also the by the OP mentioned DM51 is the Hei-T shell.
