The only reason it is this “low” right now at $100 is because of the SL Crates currently. It spikes back up to between $150 and $200 the rest of the year.

That’s not the point; the fact is that the VFW is the only vehicle in the game with the unique Flak 41 88mm cannon, one of the last models produced by Germany to have a more mass production run, and in my opinion, the most beautiful :)
You will just have to keep farming the SL boxes and pray to the snail.
SL Grinding. Slow. Pointless without Premium Time.
Ok, so if you really want to try and get it without spending directly on the marketplace, read my “SL grinding” spam message that I leave on all the SL crate event threads: The Nuclear Football! - #44 by SilentTracker
Read the entire thing. Ask more questions once you have read it. I will tell you right away though, that if you do not get Premium Time, you are simply wasting your time. You make 3x to 4x or more SL’s “per hour” with Premium Time. It is only ~$40 a year total if you get it on sale (and the next sale is coming up in days or a week.) $20 for 180 days, you can get it on sale 2x a year.
HOWEVER, the odds are NOT in your favor
Even then it is still a long shot if you will actually get the VFW. The odds are already low to get any vehicle, and the odds are purely random. Furthermore, the VFW only comes from 1 SL crate event per year.
If you really really really really really want it, go get a job and just pay for it from the marketplace. Go cut lawns. Gather recycling and turn it in. You will 100% spend less time and effort by just buying it directly with real money than trying to grind bazillions of SL’s to have a CHANCE at getting it.
You could probably save up $100-$200 in a month or two, versus trying for years to get it to drop from the SL crates.
Don’t just think about the money, think about the time you would spend in game TRYING to get it. You could play for the game for 10 more years, playing every single day, save up literally 1 Billion SL’s a year and burn them ALL during this one SL crate event and STILL never see the VFW. And you can still get duplicate vehicle drops from the SL crates. I am not joking, it is absolutely possible that you will NEVER see it drop from an SL crate.
Best solution:
Go get a job. Or do chores for people for money. It wouldn’t take you that long if you really put your mind to it.
The VFW is good. It also has the rangefinder modification if you didn’t know. In Arcade, it gives you the hit indicator out beyond 1km. Very rare at that BR. In RB, it allows you to get a range reading up to 2km away, and does it in half the time versus a tank without a range finder.
If you want it, go get it. Put in the work.

Not everyone makes more than 30¢ a week. It’ll take me a while to buy VFW and atp is is less time extensive to get SL for it xD

Yes, I do understand lol. But, it is much better to be straight up and honest with anyone who REALLY wants a single vehicle from the SL crates. I get something I really wanted maybe… 5%-10% of the time. And I burn 100m SL’s on average per event. The odds are just so low. Like look at all those guys trying to get the Ka-Chi before 😭 One guy was spending HUNDREDS of $'s on SL’s to try and get it, AFTER he had already burned hundreds of millions of SL’s that he had built up.
The odds are NOT in favor of anyone trying to get a single vehicle from these SL crates. The math just isn’t in favor of it.

I don’t have a premium account anymore and I’m paying for college while working and studying, so I don’t have that much time. The chances I had with the SL crates I used to have are gone, now I’m poor and hopeless.
Good, you are in college. Then ignore trying to play the game more right now. Don’t buy more Premium Time for now. Finish your studies and go get a good job for yourself brother 👍 Then when you have “free” time, come back and buy the VFW with real money (and get more Premium Time if you want, lul.) You will be much better off that way. I hope your classes are going well, don’t let your grades slip Sir!
One good thing about the VFW being in the SL crates, the price will keep going back down when this current SL crate batch happens. It is not one of those silly rare Battlepass vehicles. There will always be more VFW coupons being created. There is no rush.
