Fair Play: November 2024

Cause bombing and ramming is not something you can deactivate.

Why change the entire game because entitled people think they shouldnt be accountable for their actions?

So for clarity are there leniency for a TK depending on what happened or is there non because i got a message from a friend that shows a Game Master saying there is none

That is correct, that then can be punished for all I care, but it would take the accidental missile TKs out of the equation, which are a relatively common occurence.

Think he is talking about frequency of TK’s, not circumstances

Gaijin already did that because Russian and Ukrainian players were going at each others throats after the Crimea annexation by Russia and it has never been switched back on.
So Ground RB shows that a general TK off system works. You can still kill planes and you can arty friendlies, but the number of accidentals is rather limited.

Except how will they know the difference between what is accidental with a missile… and what is “accidental” with a missile outside of reviewing every replay of every match?

Wrong answer. What if you drove into the proximity of the bomb without realizing just how close it was? Or what if it was the PE-8’s large bomb? You need to consider these as factors.

so it doesn’t mater the my rocket went for a teammate after getting flared becoming a total accident and it happened a few times i get a ban for someone being stupid and getting in my rockets way and getting splashed

I doubt this. Unless we are to start believing the cheaters too.

If you deactivate TK, then there are no accidental missile kills.

If you bomb the runway on takeoff then that is most likely intentional and should be punished.
If you ram into someone else, then that is most likely intentional and that’s what the report button is for.

Bingo.

It was my friend playing! I swear!

The wrong answer once again. You cannot deactivate TK for missiles. Cause its not the missile that kills you, its the explosion.

Correct, it doesnt matter…

I have no idea why people are believing the tk people. It is very rare that someone banned will actually say they broke ToS.

These people are not getting banned for 1 accidental tk 3 months ago.

No, please give us also some credit. We’re not sooo gullible, trust me.

Literally a dozen different players can report someone claiming he said something bad in chat, and nothing will happen if not a single one of the reports contains proof of what the bad guy supposedly said.

Do you think we kinda go “Oh, that guy has been reported a dozen times. I can’t see anything wrong, but he must have done something bad, so I better chat ban him just in case…”

No.

What does happen when we notice such patterns is we take a closer look at such toxic mass reporters, and impose sanctions when we see they’re trying to abuse the reporting system that way.

If you however encounter such a case where report abuse led to an unfair punishment, please let us Senior GM’s) know immediately so we can get behind this and find out what went wrong.

what i am getting at it should matter we the player base have given gaijin so much money to afford manual watcher to ban people so why isn’t there to my knowledge

Wrong.
I can shoot my APFSD at a friendly tank, nothing happens.
I can shoout my HE round at a friendly SPAA and nothing happens, no explosion damage, no overpressure.

I can bomb my own teammates in Ground RB and I can set an Arty strike on them. That is then (usually) intentional, but you also find players who will ignore the orange smoke and drive into a friendly barrage and you’ll have people whose bomb drop is short or long and hit a nearby friendly.

That is part of the game, that is OK from my point of view and if that isn’t OK for anyone then you can use the report button and then someone has to review it.

There are. The automatic ban only kicks in after an exessive amount of tk
