Crack down on the source and you won’t have to ban as many players. There’s something called a Root Cause Analysis; what is the source of the problem? Are these teamkillers shooting down griefer low-tier plane? Are they shooting down actual teamkillers? The saying that all teamkilling is bad is the worst excuse for this ban.
This punishment is like someone stopping an active shooter from doing more harm, only to get punished themselves for shooting someone.

I probably reply in vain, but the issue is not the vehicle, a fast armored care has it’s uses, and if I remember correctly you can even pen some high BR vehicles with the puma, so the issue is people trolling/throwing, which is a different issue and should be reported and punished.
I mean… radar illumination isn’t a laser pointer. Your fault if you don’t respect that.

If you want a fast armored car, there are fast wheeled light tanks. Germany, for example, has the Radkampfwagen 90. You don’t need to bring the wheeled Puma to toptier.

You can pen some high BR vehicles with the Puma from the side at point blank, yes
And you can pen all high BR vehicles from all ranges and angles with Leopard 2A7V
So why spawn Puma instead of Leopard 2A7V?
It’s just being detrimental for the team for no reason.

What if I like the puma? It can still scout, and cap points, and I think it is also smaller. If it’s bushed up people also might not recognize it. I don’t see how this is worse than the people who W into the middle of the map and die.
Because in air, if you disabled TKing you enable dumb furballs and spraying blindly.
This makes defensive flying pretty much impossible as you can no longer maneuver to prevent enemies from being able to shoot without hitting a friendly, or force them to break off to avoid mid/air collissions.
Ground battles do not really have 3D positioning as a key skill.

If you teamkill 2 people in a game in top tier sim it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a skill issue.

One thing I think could work well is…
- Teamkilling disabled for first 1-2 minutes (time to climb and meet enemy)
or
Teamkilling is disabled if there is no enemy plane within 5 km of the victim.
This will still punish idiotic flying and prevent spraying blindly in a massive furball.

I’d say cap it at 1-2 in air battles, and make it 5 in grb
at least in grb some low tier thing can scout or use a derp cannon for a kill if they have literally nothing else, if you spawn a biplane in arb you’ve actively just worked over 15 teammates (worse if you get one of those 3 or 4-stack failsquads) since their probability of doing anything useful whatsoever is almost 0% compared to an actual br appropriate aircraft
Im actually ok with some punishment to TKers IF Gaijin take accidents and stuff into account (meaning 1 tk wont get you a ban)
I dropped a Lancaster egg yesterday AFTER i told my team to stay away from the zone/target.
2 light tanks didnt care and they kinda turned into small pieces, my first team kills in moths (got 5 enemies yay)
I got kicked from the match which is fair.
as long as there is wiggle room for small happy accidents and they go for the people who do it again and again on purpose OR completely lack of skill, it’s completly fine.
