Fair Play: November 2024

If you teamkill 2 people in a game in top tier sim it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a skill issue.

What has a bigger RCS for 1GE?:
-A: JAS39
-B: A mountain
-C: That Su-27 that i had locked

This must be fake, because that can’t happen OR if it isn’t fake, then you shouldn’t have fired… 🤣

One thing I think could work well is…

  1. Teamkilling disabled for first 1-2 minutes (time to climb and meet enemy)
    or

Teamkilling is disabled if there is no enemy plane within 5 km of the victim.

This will still punish idiotic flying and prevent spraying blindly in a massive furball.

I’d say cap it at 1-2 in air battles, and make it 5 in grb
at least in grb some low tier thing can scout or use a derp cannon for a kill if they have literally nothing else, if you spawn a biplane in arb you’ve actively just worked over 15 teammates (worse if you get one of those 3 or 4-stack failsquads) since their probability of doing anything useful whatsoever is almost 0% compared to an actual br appropriate aircraft

Im actually ok with some punishment to TKers IF Gaijin take accidents and stuff into account (meaning 1 tk wont get you a ban)

I dropped a Lancaster egg yesterday AFTER i told my team to stay away from the zone/target.

2 light tanks didnt care and they kinda turned into small pieces, my first team kills in moths (got 5 enemies yay)

I got kicked from the match which is fair.

as long as there is wiggle room for small happy accidents and they go for the people who do it again and again on purpose OR completely lack of skill, it’s completly fine.

maybe just turn friendly fire OFF? like keep the players and them buying premiums and solve the issue outright

Enjoy yourself

I waited untill the JAS39 was out of the way so the AIM120 didnt lock him

saving allies from teamkillers counts as well? By that I mean teamkilling teamkillers. If yes I did that before and ig I’m sorry, I’ll you take care of that.

Happened to me with the AIM120’s and the AIM-7F’s as well.

I don’t think R key does anything in air sim when it’s a chinese b-25j flying by a base that just got bombed and you’re flying redfor.

Oh yeah, the 7F likes to go wherever it likes

I’m impressed you keep track of those missile behaviors.

oh yeah sure teamkills can be prevented. but also theres no proper way in sim to quickly send or ask positions of allies. every single match theres like only 20% of people actually pressing t-4-1 even if u repeatedly do it and ask them to do so. on top of that theres how many captured vehicles in game with tiny ass markers on the side and slightly different colour camo. sure i do take 10 seconds to drive to the side of a sherman pushing me to see his marker when that is the number one troll strategy in sim. funnily enough my last proud teamkill was a pars 3 missile that killed an ally. the moment i shot that pars there wasnt even an ally on the whole screen of the lock on camera. my bad i guess?

sure 1h hour ban no biggie but is that the right signal to send to people like me that spent 100s of € on the game whose mechanics somehow allow for this to happen? sure i know something like this wont get me perma banned but i also know and understand its impossible to check each report but what if said missile hits a guy from the 4 man sweating esports squad that then decides to get his buddies to mass report? is my money then still a wise long term investment? just curious.

as for a warning for all the intentional tkers that hopefully will refrain from doing it afterwards i gladly take the 1h off now, if it really helps do it to me every two days, but understand that in a game where this happens so often unintentionally its kinda a weird signal. now 90% of players cant play for an hour and touch some cold wet grass (in europe)

edit: typo and added a sentence

Aim 7 in previous updates was pretty bad on “PitBulling” especially when people are learning to use it

I wonder why we can‘t just enable / disable getting teamkilled in ARB. If we want the realism, we can enjoy getting shot down by friendly missiles and other armaments, if we don‘t, we won‘t get shot down by them.

For bombs, rockets and similar items, I would just make them go by the same logic. You can shoot down yourself and people who haven‘t disabled teamkilling. This would also prevent any further reports because people can just decide themselves and then have to deal with their decision, if they are to meet any not-so-nice person in the future.

Also enemy team. Your score (and thus activity) gets massively reduced killing a under-BR’d vehicle.

Now, if that under BR’d vehicle can still kill you (you’re lightly armoured) or cap a point and spawn CAS? You’re basically punished for doing the sensible thing (less ammo, gave your position away yet barely any score)

Damn im in the top 2000 who got a week or more!

You know what would be a really simple solution to this whole problem?

TURN OFF FRIENDLY FIRE

If you fix that, no one can break the TOS. Imagine game devs purposefully implementing a mechanic that can get you banned. It’s like putting a “ban me” button in the game- there is no way to use it without risking your account.

I am not a team killer and I hate it when people TK me, but this whole problem is Gaijin’s fault. Not the player-base.
