Fair Play: November 2024

I know I’m opening Pandora’s box, but I think spawning biplanes on 13.7 matches and the respective ground equivalent should constitute as this.

It is actively sabotaging a team, increasing its chances to a loss.

Alternatively but ideally, there should be a maximum rank difference cap requirement to spawn a vehicle (for example, -3.0 BRs max).

I understand that there are gaps in the trees, and that’s why I suggest a -3.0 BR difference cap; I can see someone spawning a 8.7 as a backup for their 11.7 in Ground Battles… but nothing justifies bringing in 1.3s into 12.0- and certainly nothing justifies bringing in P-26s into Su-27/F-15 matches.

I also realise that Premium Top Tier players often bring lower tier vehicles as last resort backup vehicles, and I know that this rework would affect them. However, the real solution to their limited spawn chances’ issue could be one much more beneficial for everyone; I would suggest to increase the amount of backups included on the purchase of Premium Top Tiers to 200; and increase the limit of backup spawns for Premium vehicles within a match from 1 to 2, so that they can spawn thrice instead of only twice.

If people want to “fool around”, Custom Battles would be the right place to do so, not the main competitive matchmaker where they are detrimental to those of us who actually try to take the gamemode seriously and play it like it is intended to be played.

EDIT: In hindsight, I have mixed feelings about this suggestion, since it could be deemed to be too nuclear/radical by some and would therefore and most certainly not come without controversy… I don’t know.

Do you think anyone who ruins another player’s experience should be punished?

I have been seeing that more and more,

I think he does

Reading between the lines a little, it sounds like they take the TK reports (we don’t know how far this batch goes back), do an initial triage based on total teamkills by that player over time to trim the number down, then do individual review on the suspect cases to confirm intentionality. So false positives as probably quite a bit less than 50% and the review wouldn’t necessarily take that long. Remember we haven’t had a fair play in 2 months before this so they’ve had 60 days to work on this set, so 500ish a day.

I’d make it capped at 5 ranks, and only make it apply to players in a squad to prevent situations like that. 2 is a bit too little because of potential SPAA gaps (and how some vehicles can perform well in extreme uptiers).

Cool story. Seems like you checked all the team kills done by all players, and just randomly banned them. Temporary or permanetly. I dont TK people, coz im mature enough to not kill anybody while taking off or not crying that someone stole my kill…

It serves a purpose so people don’t just blanket bomb entire maps with PE-8s and don’t just skilllessly throw missiles and anything that moves, and don’t tunnel vision on the enemy infront of them.

The game tries to be somewhat realistic and stuff not bouncing off of your teammates like wool balls is part of it. the only reason ground arcade/realistic doesn’t have teamkills is bc it was way, way, way, wayyyy worse than anything rn back with the first ukraine/russia problem in 2014.

If you teamkill with an Aim9B that barely turns, it was a bad launch and a dumb mistake. don’t shoot missiles near allies. that thing does NOT do a 90° turn and hit a teammate 2km off to the side. they HAVE to be in a narrow frontal arc for you to hit them. (they’d have to precisely hit the missile with their plane if they come in from the side, which is a one in a million shot and just doesnt happen often enough to get you banned)

It also doesn’t mean they started this list after the last fair play, they could’ve worked on this seperately for an even longer time.

Just like how work on vehicles for a new update doesn’t only start after the previous update.

I’ve reported plenty of these griefers in ARB doing this and I doub’t they got punished for it. And now thinking back on it might be why I got banned. But getting banned for shooting down a P-26 at top tier is overkill. Flawed system by flawed individuals.

Do you even play the game fr ? In high tier plane rb, it’s so common to get a tk.

If this is related to Ground RB, then your judgement on them at the start of the match is more than ignorant.

This is one of the things I wish the snail would crack down on the hardest. It’s especially weird coming from a community that constantly complains about how hard the grind it, yet actively throw games for fun via bringing low tier vehicles to top tier; which destroys the RP/HR of themselves and their teams by sacrificing the win bonus which is HUGE.

If they can spawn another vehicle, then who are you to judge how well they perform at the outset of the match?

So I have definitely smacked a couple friendlies with errant AMRAAMS in the past month or two, but I have not been automatically banned for TK in this wave, so clearly if you accidentally a teammate or two its not going to mean you are guaranteed a ban. Now I am curious how many accidental TK’s is too many, can any of the Mods/GMs elucidate us on how many times we can be stupid with FnF missiles in ARB before we get slapped???

Why? Because “maybe they are one of those 1 in 100 who actually get a kill”?

I would rather have teammates who actually try their best rather than ones that want to “do a funni”, thanks.

I’m entirely with you on this. Though I’d prefer a -2.0 or -3.0 BR range, because rank ranges can differ quite a bit from nation to nation.

and to people who say “but god mode is a thing”, they could just rework that or stick it to customs and delete it in standard matches.

I hope it stays that way, not my fault the AIM-120 being retarded and going “Oh look! An airliner!”
