[Fair Play] Fair Play: August 2026

Your reports and our anti-cheat systems continue to help us in the fight against cheaters. As is tradition, we’re sharing information about the bans issued since last Fair Play. If you want to help rid War Thunder of cheaters and unsportsmanlike players, you can learn how to submit a report and how our anti-cheat system works on our wiki.

Banned accounts

Since our last fair play update, we have banned 3,471 accounts that were found to have violated the rules, specifically paragraph 3.2.3 of the EULA, namely the automation of gameplay (use of bots) and cheat software.

Additionally, 98 temporary bans were issued for violating paragraph 3.2.4 of the EULA. These violations included colluding with the opposing team to repeatedly capture zones and/or profiting from mutual damage without the intention of engaging in combat.

Furthermore, 278 accounts were banned for a week or longer for intentional teamkilling and griefing, including 10 permanent bans.

For complete transparency, we will publish the full list of permanently banned players. This list will be available for two weeks following the publication of this article.

Recommendations

We recommend that you set a strong password for your account and enable two-step authentication in your profile security settings. We have the following 2FA options available: email, SMS, TOTP (Gaijin Pass/Google Authenticator).

We’d also suggest that you turn on 2FA for the email that is linked to your Gaijin account for additional security, as this will protect your account from fraudsters. And remember, don’t use prohibited client modifications and never share your account information with anyone.

Hey, I already reached out on the discord, it’s not a major concern, I just wanted to inform you that on the docs spreadsheet for the 10 permanent bans for teamkilling / griefing there is a typing error. It spells “teamkiling” rather than “teamkilling”.

How does this work with HARMs and accidental TKs and also is ramming considered bannable?

If it is truly accidental, it will not happen very often so you will not get flagged.

yes

HARMs though ive been tk’d a fair amount by because some games will have the same radar types on ESM and ppl just launch with looking

Is this in regards to jet ramming or GRB tank ramming because I have had both and especially when playing SAMs

Both. If you repeatedly crash into friendly planes to destroy them, you will get banned. And if you repeatedly ram your teammates out of cover in GRB, you also get banned. If someone does that to you, report them and they will get banned if it was not just a one-off event.
