F16I should go 13.7

They are also pretty pointless considering they hurt flight performance way more than x3 drop tanks while also providing less fuel and not being removable when empty.

Edit: Just for anyone who wants to see the difference

They just fit the theme though xD, sufa looks wrong without it’s CFTs

It almost looks like an F-16 without the CFT’s on

Of which the Barak 2 D exists, anyway I digress, you should be able to bring empty CFTs like on the Strike Eagles purely for aesthetics

I’m sure there’s a good reason for them IRL (although considering how many grifts the US MIC is running these days I’m starting to doubt that), but in game why the hell would anyone fly this turd in ARB lmao. Just who exactly wants to fly an F16 with bad flight performance??

Israeli doctrine prioritises range and standoff over everything else, and we see that with CFTs being used heavily by the IAF

MAWS is shit m8.

Flares, your own missiles, a random candle burning 20km away all.set it off.

Cant think of 1 time its done anything good. I turn it off every game in the mirage as no CMs to spare

No.f16 is 14.0 worthy

Its stats are ripped straight from the F-15I and they weren’t even tweaked to reflect the fact that there’s only 1 engine, not 2.

IRL you’re looking at a straightforward 5% worse fuel consumption for a 10% increase in thrust. Not a 98% higher fuel consumption for 10% less thrust than the -129.

I’m sorry I should have worded this better, allow me to explain.

To take advantage of the 10% thrust, you must go into battle with a 100% fuel load along with x3 drop tanks to play this aircraft like a conventional F-16.

The Empty base weight of the F-16I Sufa: 9.14 Tons

Full internal tanks: 2.63 t

x3 Drop pods: 4.48 t

x6 AIM-120C-5: 1.06 t

This loadout bring your total mass to: 17.31 Tons which equals roughly 5 minutes 30 seconds of Mach 1.0 flight on the deck.

Compare this to something like the F-16A ADF:

Empty Base Weight: 7.97 t

Full Internal Fuel: 3.31 t

x6 AIM-120B: .97 t

Total mass: 12.25 Giving you about 7 minutes of Mach 1.0 flight on the deck

If you bring the internal fuel down to 75% (2.48 t) you get the same amount of Mach 1.0 burn time of 5 minutes 30 seconds on the deck while brining your total mass to 11.42 tons, a significantly lighter aircraft with much better flight characteristics than a F-16I Sufa.

The point I was trying to convey is the 10% increased thrust really doesn’t matter at the end of the day due to the plane being approximately 51.58% heavier than the typical F-16A. (11.42 tons to 17.31 tons)

Just for comparison sake I will also add the F-16D Barak II:

Empty Weight: 9.23 t

Full Fuel: 2.69 t

x6 Derby: .78 t

Total mass: 12.7 t which gives approximately 5 minutes of Mach 1.0 Flight on the deck. While being 36.38% lighter. (12.7 tons to 17.31 tons)

Its mass and thrust don’t matter at this point, it’s the fact that it consumes as much fuel as an F-15I. Yknow… While having half as many engines.

Thrust figures are in comparison to the F110-129D, not the F100-220. You’d be stupid to compare otherwise.

Sure, but we’re working with what we have.

I’m not saying the current implementation is correct — it clearly isn’t. The fuel consumption absolutely needs to be fixed to reflect its single engine. But as things stand, this is the version of the jet we’ve got. And compared to any other F-16 in the game, it’s performing noticeably worse, despite being at a higher BR.

It has the worst (unfinished) armament, the RWR is modeled incorrectly, and it’s using the wrong countermeasure setup, it should have 240 standard CMs. Add in the incorrect fuel consumption, and you’re left with a jet carrying significantly more mass than it should, rendering its 10% thrust a whole lot less valuable.

You can call that “stupid” if you want, but I prefer to deal in reality, not in hypotheticals where the jet is properly modeled. And the reality is: right now, it’s the worst top tier F-16.

Edit: And just for you I’ll include the F-16C Block 50 :)

F-16C Block 50:

Empty Base Weight: 9.15 t

Full Internal Fuel: 3.31 t

x6 AIM-120A: .97 t

Total mass and Mach 1.0 flight: 13.43 t Which is approximately 28.9% lighter and allows for roughly 5 minutes 45 seconds of Mach 1.0 flight at sea level.
