F16C sucks because of its slow turning in high speed

How is the f16C (one of the most “meta” planes according to many players) so slow when it is or above speed of 1100kph? The brick that is the f4s can turn faster at the same speed or even higher.
This is supposed to be a dog fighter designed to be agile but cant do the most basic stuff for this role.
The biggest question that boggles me is how this plane is considered meta in the fandom?

You might want to check a turning performance chart for it.

low quality b8 m8.

nah

F-16C isn’t the monster it was but that has nothing to do with its turning performance.

but have you already investigated all the modules?

F-16C compresses a lot at high speeds, try to cut down afterburner and even use brakes if necessary to slow down to 700-800 km/h where it’s flight performance shines

Don’t use statshark to compare FM because it sucks

of course

i mean hes objectively right though, the f16c compresses like hell at high speeds. <900 is where its maneuverable. at mach its a rocket.

Nope, he’s objectively wrong. He’s expecting it to be hyper agile at any condition simply based on the fact that it’s an F16, but it just doesn’t work like that.
Airplanes aren’t maneuverable at super high speeds in general, and we need to read the performance charts to know where the best sustained rates are.
I don’t remember by heart, but the F16s have somewhat high corner speed/plateau (the speed at which we get the highest sustained turn rates), somewhere around 400 kts (740 km/h or 460 mph). At 1100 km/h (955 kt) he’s doing more than double that.
Also, just because the F16 has an absolute superior sustained rate than some other plane (let’s say the F4), that still happens under a certain condition, it does not mean that some other plane can’t have better rates at a different set of conditions, it might just be that the F16 indeed turns slower than an F4 when at higher speeds - again, we need to refer to the performance charts to check that.

Edit:
I don’t know if the chart is correct vs in-game, but an example of a turn performance chart:

Eurofighter would like to have a word with you

Point still stands, one plane does not make the rule, but rather the exception. I’m not familiar with the EF performance, but I also doubt the EF sustains higher turn rates at high altitude going M+ than it would do near S.L. at lower speeds like M0.5-0.8.

I mean, Youre not really saying anything i disagree with? But The f16c does compress like hell at mach which imo is the only thing he said.

Nobody considers the f16c meta. Its one of the worst 13.7s the only worse 13.7s are other weaker f16s, i dont know where you got the idea that it was meta
