Because AN/AAR-47 is primitive in comparison and wasn’t designed for fighter or any combat aircraft besides helicopters

It has a 360 degree MAWS along the Azimuth, It still has blind spots above and below the airframe, a new report, with new documentation would be required to get total coverage

Do you mean it is missing 360 MAWS or it is missing integrated MAW that can be used without having to sacrifice 2 missile like rafale?
wish it had PAWS-2 instead, which has full elevation coverage.
Coverage? Range? Sensor Fusion? Sorry there are a few aspects that differ in the two solutions. Especially as the Terma solution on the PoBIT is a pod system rather than integral (like those found on Typhoon and Rafale).
That said Terma’s pylon based offerings typically connect to an Terma ALQ-213 EW Management System which should provide the MAW the ability to work in conjunction with the RWR to release the correct CM per the threat.
I’ll go through the Terma stuff this weekend and get a report up for the Sensor Fusion part. Coverage is limited by the aperture of the sensors and their positioning, can’t do anything about that these are the limits of a pylon based solution, you might have blind spots.

I think they mean how it appears on the 2D HUD on the left.
Ahh well that would be the combination of RWR/MAW/LWR that makes the threat display look like that. I suspect the user meant the MAW part was missing.

Seems PoBIT is still missing the ALQ-213 control head in cockpit, will that come along?
I could report that also but as with all cockpit stuff I wouldn’t expect a fast turn around.

You need to equip the pod with countermeasures. You’ll have to sacrifice a missile or two if you want more countermeasures and the MAW
