Why doesn’t the f16c have a radar sight on the hud like for example the f16a adf?
Either its radar did not have EEGS or gaijin was too lazy to model it like on the Sea Harrier.
There’s no way an F-16C out of all jets doesnt have radar gun sight
The F-16C has one, it’s this small circle. However it only seems to activate when <600m to the target, otherwise it just sits at the top of the funnel.
EDIT: seems that’s it’s pretty buggy overall, so reporting it could help. When you get within <600m and then go above that range, the circle gets stuck in the last position like this:
Spoiler
when wobbling up and down, the range underneath the aircraft (0.70km here) seems to display weirdly briefly
Well, maybe the early versions didn’t have eegs.
Or as I said gaijin just didn’t model it bc they don’t care.
The early one does ingame. So probably just laziness
Ok Coolio so report it than and gaijin will fix it next patch since its an F-16 and a glory days American fighter lol.
Nvm, look above, it does but just a weird one
Lmfao that’s odd well at least gaijin was nice enough to give the F-16 a normal gunsight and not have me that randomly starts from the side of the HUD at random
Yeah this is an issue with all the F-16’s that use that HUD.
F-16A MLU, F-16AM MLU, F-16C: EEGS not displayed correctly
This is the gunsight, how you use it is you point the shoot funnel in front of the enemy, pull the trigger, and wait for them to fly through it. This is just the more modern (and better) style of EEGS. There’s some really good videos explaining how to use it for like DCS if you wanna look them up.
If only Gaijin modelled the funnel higher than 10fps. If the target is making any movements at all the funnel will constantly lag behind and be next to useless.
ok thanks, I’ll watch a video about it
I just watched a video about it in DCS and I’m surprised how smooth it runs in DCS. It’s a shame that the f16c in Warthunder has such low fps on its hud
Its every HUD. They are all limited to extremely low frame rates
You’re looking right at it… If you don’t understand the basic functions of the HUD, it’s on you to understand it.
I noticed it too, but when I tried to aim it, the bullets flew to the completely wrong place
you need to get close to about 600m for the dot to jump between the two lines, then it will start working
