I propose adding the F-15I Ra’am with AESA radar (AN/APG-82(V)1) to the Israeli aviation tree.
Key points:
• Modernized Israeli variant of the F-15E Strike Eagle.
• Equipped with AESA radar, upgraded avionics, and EW systems.
• Capable of BVR combat, air-to-ground strikes, and multirole missions.
• Differs from standard F-15E in radar, avionics, and mission flexibility.
• Fits logically between high-tier F-16I Sufa and top strike fighters in the game.
Sources: Official IAF modernization info, aviation industry publications on AN/APG-82(V)1 upgrades.
Adding this aircraft would expand Israel’s tree and represent a modern strike fighter with AESA capabilities.
Sadly you can’t add something that doesn’t exist. Hopefully it’ll come to fruition in the coming months and years, I may even get a suggestion ready to go beforehand for it lmao
Until then the F-15I+ (Upgraded F-15I to F-15IA standards proposed and accepted, which in assuming you’re referring to), the F-15IA, and the AH-64E cannot be added
I mean i seen that IAF said that all the f15I were upgraded with an new aesa radar and I didn’t mean adding the f15IA because I think its not many information about the stats
“Were” is absolutely incorrect. An upgrade seems to be planned to modernize them to the IA or EX standard, it hasn’t taken effect.
This will likely be an identical case to what happened with Saudi Arabia. They used variants of the F-15Es known as the F-15S Strike Eagle. They decided to modernize their F-15S to the new F-15EX standard when they decided to acquire their version of it known as the F-15SA. It came to be known as the F-15S+, and the proposed upgraded F-15I Ra’ams to the F-15IA standard are being referred to as the F-15I+.
However, these still don’t exist yet, they’ll likely come along at a similar time as the F-15IA, but still both don’t exist yet.
Pretty much what I was getting at with my message above to OP, yeah. I assumed you were talking about not ever hearing of an F-15I modernization which is why I included that to show where it originated from
This article is from 2016. There is literally no proof in terms of documents that it has been fitted or any photos to this day. It has been almost a decade.
The article even talks about plans and does not confirm it was added at all.
It is quite literally said there that it is selected. It is said no where that it was integrated or at least tested once on it.
Selection does not mean it instantly has it. There are various countries who have selected vehicles for example, but that never ended up happening. That is not what that word means.
If the radars were actually procured as part of the F-15I upgrade package, this indicates a real modernization program rather than a theoretical selection.
Countries may cancel programs after selection, but here we have procurement and upgrade kits tied specifically to the F-15I fleet.
