Im very close to rank 8, just researching the f5e, so im starting to think ahead. Either way each plane will be my highest br vehicle in my time playing. Im trying to decide which one I should research first, but everywhere i look i get contradiciting information. Some say the f15a, because it gets aim 9ms better top speed more missles etc, but others say f18 because it gets a better matchaker and lower br. Which one should I choose?
Get good with the F18 First. F15s are hunted down with extreme prejudice due to how potentially dangerous they can be and their legacy.
F18 will give you far more flexibility along with the baptism that is the Gulf War Era. It’s better at low speeds and can take an F15 in a prolonged fight if you’re lucky.
F15a is fantastic but the F18 will allow you to learn the new environment with much more forgiveness and flexibility.
The real answer is that you can’t go wrong with either, depending on your tolerance for being hunted. F15A has much more Air-to-Air tools 4x-7M/4x-9M, but the F18 has agility.
