This plane feels awful to play. It doesn’t have enough flares and chaff to break radar locks from Mig 21s, F/A 18s, Viggens, Gripens, etc. The radar lock for the AIM 7E’s is abysmal, can’t hold a lock if they’re lower than a certain altitude and if the plane starts diving, the radar immediately starts losing the radar lock. This is the worst premium of the Italian tech tree and there is no other option if you’ve never worked on air. I got this premium so I could try to earn more SL and RP. I have gone on losing streaks of upwards to 10 losses in a row and have lost close to 200,000 SL to date since buying it. This tier it is at is not working for it. I have tried notching to break missile locks and it doesn’t matter, the missile always destroys me. I’m tired of losing SL because Gaijin doesn’t want to balance this premium better. This premium is not worth buying because the radar is the exact same as the f104s that you can find in the tech tree. All you get for buying this premium is the golden eagles, the premium account for a week and that’s the only benefit you get from it. The sidewinders are worse than the tech tree variant and other vehicles at the BR the TAF is at can out perform this vehicle by miles. This vehicle needs either a rework or a buff so that it can compete at this BR range. Sorry for the rant but this plane is utter garbage and felt the need to share my misery
