yes I use them, but in ground especially when you only have 60 combined uses, and there are multiple AA up you will run out very quickly
Surely you’ve been here long enough to know that for these types of souls “in hindsight” does, in fact, evade them.
Basically:
If you maintain your points, you are “an obstinate narcissist incapable of rectifying”.
If you actually change your mind and state it so, you are “a shitter who backtracks instead of following through their points”.
To these people, it’s just about treating others with contempt, no matter how they need to twist everything to achieve it.
This is probably one of the most harmless requests possible though
Game would be better off if they did care a little more about uniqueness of trees though
f15l is identical but with a much better cas loadout plus best f16s, sweden gets the finnish f/a18 mlu2 which has BOL pods, and japan has the f15jm which is lighter and has better missile at the same br as the msip 2.
Wouldnt call it straight up best. Its more of a sidegrade if anything.
Gets BOL while also having inferior loadouts.
Yeah I guess. Not a big deal as the differences are marginal for the gameplay and US already has better aircrafts available (F-15C GE and F-15E).
hardly marginal lol, aam4 is much better than the aim120, f15ge is loosing against a f15jm in a 1v1
definetly better than the f16c.
lacks agm65 sure, worse for arb.
you forgot about the f15e, which si still stuck with agm65 whilst the f15l gets access to spice bombs
I forgot they fixed AAM-4 ngl but 1v1 just never happen and F-15E argument still applies.
Are we talking about the same F-16I which is heavier than US F-16C while having the same kit for ARB? I guess the extra 45 large CMs is nice but I would call it a tradeoff. And lets not forget the BR difference.
Almost similar to when Israeli F-15I was stuck without AGM-65 for quite some time meanwhile US received additional IR-GBUs.
f15e argument? f15e i still stuck with amraams, its not about 1v1s, its about game perfomance the f15jm is the strongest f15 in the game, f15e and ge might be technically better but both are at brs where they’re terrible.
both suck for arb, but the sufa has a great grb kit, id argue the strongest f16 is the barak at 13.3 right now.
sure thats not the situation now, and spice’s are much more useful than gbu 15.
the F16I in game is actualy lighter than the F16C
are you really talking about the GBU-15s?
because you really shouldnt use those because you cant bring any wing mounted missiles with them leaving you useless in an air to air role because bringing the SDBs on the belly is pretty necessary
So I agree that the F/A-18D should come to the US tree, along with the ‘missionized’ B model at some point.
I disagree however that it should be a folder vehicle, for the same reason I’m currently against how it’s being added to Japan. Which is that it should not be a ‘fighter’ but should, like the F-15E, come in as a strike aircraft for both the American Tree (which could use it) and the Japanese Tree (which currently has 0 high tier strike aircraft).
I don’t know how much typing effects RB/SB - outside of events that enforce those rules the last time I even tried those modes Japan was a tech twig if it was even in the game, but in AB where I play - that is a massive difference in ability to hit ground targets due to the in-air cooldown on ground ordnance. Fighters are somewhere around 2-3 minutes I think it is depending on what it is, I think guided bombs are the one exception (and you can usually only carry 1-2 of them) to be around 40, low end of strike aircraft is I think about 30-40 seconds. And whether it’s bombing bases, frontline where there are lots of ground targets to hit, or the fact that sometimes in the chaos that is Air Arcade you don’t really have time to fuss around with GNSS bombs, let alone laser, and may need to just grab the dumb bombs and rockets, that you can sometimes carry more of, and make use of the CCIP for those bombs and rockets to knock stuff out on the ground to bleed the red teams tickets.
It’s also be consistent with almost every other nation in game’s research trees that has 4+ lines. Every nation, except Germany, with a Bomber line that has one way or another extended past Rank 5 switches from it being bombers to strike aircraft, several also have a line that was strike/naval/dive bombers/etc that simply evolves in to a strike line by the end. And Germany is only a weird exception, in that it’s heavy fighter line becomes it’s second strike line while the bomber line becomes the Swiss branch, though they could always swap that if they wanted. If the MiG-29N that’s been added and the Su-30 are staying fighters, can always move them to the line that had the R2Y2’s so that both lines have Rank 8 aircraft. The US literally has a branch right there, that other than the A-10 and a one or two others, is basically all Navy/Marine strike aircraft, and the 2 seater F-18’s are perfect to put there either to fill in some gaps (in the case of the B giving the US a 12.3 strike) or depending on BR the D model, or even if it’s the same as the F-15E just offering an alternative.
It should be in a folder because it shouldn’t be a part of the mainline progression. It should be an optional extra vehicle to research if you want to.
F-15E is labeled as a Strike aircraft because it is a Strike Fighter. The F/A-18D is not.
@Piciu713 Is there any news about the possibility of eventually having the F/A-18D on the US tree, either foldered or on the strike tree?
Nothing, with the exception that a suggestion has been forwarded to the devs.
Any news on the M1A2T coming to the US tree?
brother…
Hey its worth a shot, the community has clearly voiced their disapproval.
Hey, at least that’s better than absolute nothing.
So when an update comes out in the future, the f18 D is going to take place of something that people actually want because the devs don’t want to reskin the Malaysian one now.
