I think the Finnish F/A-18C MLU 2 Hornet should be foldered with the previous model, since it only gets ground attack ordanance. It would make the grind easier and the difference wouldn’t be big.

The previous model was the F-18, two very different aircraft. I don’t think so tbh
And “only gets ground attack ordnance” is ignoring everything else it gets (like an HMD for starters)…

Oh. I didn’t know it had HMD. I tried to google it but didn’t find anything.
Indeed, they’re really similiar, making them foldered with eachother will make it less problematic to research new f18
2 whole changes, that’s a lot of stuff! (not). we were supposed to get a normal version from the start, however devs decided that it would’ve been awesome to have a lesser version for the sake of uniqueness

and even right now, MLU 2 is worser than it’s american variant, it barely gets the same amount of ground attack ordnance. obviously, this is only a dev server so there might be changes, but I doubt that they’ll do something about it

You say for starters like there’s more… that’s it, hmd and gps bombs.

- Newer AIM-120C-5s…
- BOL pods with more CMs than the Gripen
Objectively speaking this makes the Finnish F/A-18C the best Hornet…

Not really id say Smin oversold its value, its worthless for CAS but given it has BOL its the best for Air battles but only by a little bit. In terms of multirole its now the 2nd weakest hornet with the Finnish F-18C being first. Sweden needs a CAS jet and the Hornet fails to be even somewhat useful but it only took 3 months to get a version thats not 13.7 material so it could definitely be worse. Now if BOL goes to any other hornet then the MLU 2 becomes worthless lol

I think the primary reason for foldering is so that players don’t have to research the plane if they don’t want to and instead start research on the plane that is next in line. Since the F/A-18-C is last in line i don’t think they will folder it anytime soon.
I don’t think this is something that stops them being foldered. Not when there are folders like this:

Do what they did when the Americans cried about the double F16’s make the worse model the foldered one. They changed it back like a few months ago or so but it doesn’t matter the point still stands.
Look even if they dont reduce the RP cost of this abomination. They shouldn’t force anyone to play the abysmal garbage that gaijin waved in our face for 3 months. At 14.0 it is the single handedly worst vehicle to exist and imo never should’ve been added if the MLU 2 is only now giving us an on par option and only proves to me gaijin purposely put the F-18C at 14.0 out of spite lol.

you saying that feature that almost every if not every 14.0 aircraft has is a strong part? including at least usa variant, that had everything you said except BOL’s, but we will talk below about them
most of them have at least something that can hit moving target
that still wont hit aware and skill target and still will hit new player flying to bomb bases
that were nerfed to ground, having ~60% of flares effectiveness and ~25% of chaffs effectiveness

Now, the upcoming F/A-18C MLU2 still lacks AGM-65 air-to-ground munitions compared to its American and Swiss counterparts. This is particularly unacceptable for Sweden, as the nation—already grappling with a severe shortage of air power—must invest 800,000 research points to acquire an aircraft that falls short of what other nations obtain for just 400,000 RP. Making matters worse, Sweden now hosts both of the worst-performing 14.0 BR F-18Cs in its tech tree, a decision that has deeply disappointed Swedish players.
