Hi yall! Very very quick question. I’m currently researching the F-8C and I have the option of researching the F-8E or the F-5E next. I really enjoyed the F-5’s in the Chinese and Japanese tech trees, but from what I heard the F-8E is also quite enjoyable. So yea, uh, which of these 2 should I research next?
I didn’t mind the F-8E but it kinda dies in uptiers since it faces mig-23MLs. The F-5E is a decent all rounder but if you already have it in other tech trees then there’s not much point.

Depends on your playstyle.
Both have their missiles and gun fighting abilities but the F5 is more of a gun fighter while the F8 is more of a missile slinger.
If you prefer to get into dogfights, go for the F5
If you enjoy ambushing targets with missiles, go for the F8
