The u-2 has the better FM, followed by the E and then the FN
The E models don’t rip as easily so I consider them better.
But that’s where their benefit ends. They are much heavier and have a slightly worse TWR. So if you learn the limits, the f8u-2 is the better package, and is lower in BR on top of that.
French F-8E is the lowest, and most undertiered of the three.
no flares at 10.7 is crazy
F-8E at 10.0 is even crazier

It has the best missiles and best airframe (tied with the American F-8E). The only downside is no flares.
No flares, worst crusader FM, best missiles but just 2 of them. Having 4 aim9D is often better at that BR range, having no countermeasures is a death sentence, specially in slow transonic jets.
I’d rather get 10.3 uptiers in the ayit than play the F-8E FN in downtiers

That’s kind of the exact same experience in most 9.0s
Which is why it should be moved up
Also, I would rather fight three F-4Cs in a full uptier with a 9.0 plane, than fight a single F-8E or J7D/Mig-21 or Mig-23 in an F-4C so it’s not the case for all 9.0s.
It really shouldn’t. Unless we get a much-needed decompression. The F-8E FN isn’t played much for a reason. It’s free food for any other jet with capable IR missiles
Who wouldn’t? It’s one of the worst 10.0 jets. It could go to 9.7 and still be meh

I swear most of the discussion on french jets is from people who never touched them its exhausting. Like lmfao yeah lemme fight the j7d hordes with my magic 1’s and my ZERO flares, im sure thats going to be enjoyable.

Clearly you have never played 10.7. I’ve played multiple matches in the F-8E (it’s 10.7, the BR I want the french one to be) intentionally not using flares, and the only issue I encountered was Mig-21s and Mig-23s, both of which are undertiered anyways.
A) youre not adressing my reply and B) the f8e gets countermeasures, the french one doesnt and would be utterly useless at 10.7, again, please dont make claims about vehicles you dont play. Bye.
Sire it would be great that F-8E(FN) has Magic 2 if it goes up to 10.7(by OP) but all we have now is magic 1 :(
Don’t forget to get killed by those supersonic all-aspect IR carriers like F-5A(G), MiG-21bis and MiG-27 too :P
