Yeah and Gaijin does what it wants, they can simply accept those reports as suggestions and left it to dust until time is come.
The stock loadout is also atrocious at the moment.
2 9Ls at 13.3? Every other aircraft with ARH and IRCCM gets them stock. So the stock loadout should be 2x 9Ms and 2x Derbys. And the modification to research for the Python, the 9M for 4x and the Derby for 4x.
And the persisting issue that the IR-missiles can’t be mounted under the wings… The FCU can do it, so why shouldn’t the FCU or the TCU?
The 9L is just very unneccesary in general. So they could just straight up remove them.
The thing is if we get python4 with r74 aim9x block 1 and stuff, python 4 will be a very bad missile compared to them, and basically can be skipped to python 5, they could add it with gimped irccm, and that would be just fine until 5gen missiles come, they can add python 5 with the now existing irrcm on the python 4 in data when we get to 5gen missiles
Kfir can also get into those notches quicker.
No F-5 has ever demonstrated the ability to carry wingtip Derbys. It stands to reason they could given the fact they can mount Python 4s on both points, but it’s still yet to be seen. Brazil, the only country that uses the Derby on their F-5s in service, has only demonstrated the Derby on the underwing hardpoints.
Gotcha. I assume the Python 4 and Derby use the same type of pilon.
Its a plain 13.0 jet. Not lower, not higher.
