-1. Captured/evaluation only aircraft should not be added since it would mean some TTs would have nearly every plane. The only situation it should be added is if it fills a gap that can’t be filled by any other means

I was actually going to mention if the Soviets ever got the Iranian F-5E in a sub tree, we could see the evaluated F-5E as a skin.

I tried playing a 10-11 ASB match in my F8E.
I immediately got a teamkill on a Mig-21 because who would even expect a mig-21 on NATO side?
Then I got killed by a japanese phantom on Pact side. I saw a phantom, thought I’m safe and next moment I’m dead.
With this, we’re adding to the pile of “Altitude is too low for radar to return IFF due to ground clutter, distance is too big to see blue marker to confirm if friendly. All I see is silhouette, do I pull the trigger or give up surprise to avoid teamkill despite it being a visually identifiable aircraft shape?”

I’d love to see more of the lend lease though.
At the end of the day if they did decide to add it, we’d have the MiG-28 finally :D

Theres an F5 in the chinese tree so I don’t see the problem with it. I get why the yanks are protective of kit because so much of it was exported but wheres the fun in gatekeeping stuff?

Unfortunately, the F-14A IRIAF equipped with Russian-made missiles is already in the US aviation. This likely means the Iranian F-5E with R-60s will also end up in the US eventually.

Both the F5E and F5C have aggressor camos with the Soviet star on it I really don’t see it as a problem
Maybe, but it could be another situation such as the Class 3P, they added it right before adding South Africa to Britain.
If the long term sub tree leaks are anything to go by, who knows.
Consistency isn’t in Gaijin’s dictionary, so it could go either way, who knows?

that is a problem that lays with sim itself. I don’t think vehicles (outside very few exceptions which can only be on the same team) exported or captured into another tree should be playable in sim at all.
no American harriers facing the native harriers in the British tree, no german Churchill or sherman, certainly not phantoms or f104 everywhere and all the T64 family tanks shouldn’t be on opposing teams either

I say +1, them sim players made gaijin nerf some models for air rb, so its just fair for them to suffer with more copy pastas in different trees
