F-1 never had countermeasures. I know I looked it up.
Same with Mig-19.
And no tanks are missing ammo. M829A2 is the best ammo America made that’s WT compatible unless you want American tanks to be 1BR higher than all other top MBTs.
10.3 is where the majority of planes have Aim 9Js and R-60s, so yeah, nothing without flares should sit there.
The G 91YS is overtiered, yeah, but that has nothing to do with the F-5c.
No, because there are no equivalent ammunition to M829A3 used by other countries.
In an attempt to make your point you’re moving the goalposts all over the place.
Let’s stop that and stay consistent, my guy. We’re talking about aircraft right now, so let’s stay on that goal.
In regards to other aircraft missing items they legitimately had- I too want them to have the things they’re missing - It’s not a complete aircraft without them. There are nuances regarding some equipment and model designations - This most of us are aware of. However, I am not for adding things to them that was never designed for them or even for their later model designations as that just goes into pure fantasy.
G.91YS never carried flares or had a later model designation that could. Should it be at the BR it’s at? Absolutely not. Gaijin was out of their minds tiering it so high. There’s other aircraft that are equally screwed by the compression.
You need to do a better job at looking things up. Being able to mount an ALE-41K would also mean the pylon is compatible with a bunch of other CM pods that carry flares too.
Gaijin makes that decision all the time. The F5C is not the first, nor will it be the last vehicle to get ahistorical equipment.
Mitsubishi F-1:
“You guys still get flares???”
I still think the F5C should loose its flares.
USA Harriers get a flare pod, Brit harriers dont as they never used it.
Logic should be applied to US F5C.
Remove its flares, otherwise, why wont you give fictional flares to everyone else?
Gaijin treats F-5C with fictional flares: we won’t remove it.
Gaijin treats Q-5L with historical flares: we won’t add it.
tbh F-5C flares isn’t the only fictional (that technically possible) things in this game. Like German UH-1D with ATGM or that Yak-141 (irl prototype with mock up missiles and radar).
Gaijin just need to treat every vehicles fairly (also must not break the balance )
I think it would be better to rename to the MiG-23P and put the MiG-23ML in the tech tree without the R-24R/T.
F-5s have unusually cold engines.Even when they are using afterburner it is really hard to get a lock on them using a IR missile. You need to be under 1 km in order to get a lock on them.
Is it normal?Even Harriers have higher heat signature than a F-5
Thats true. They don’t really need flares.
Thats true. They would be fine without CMs.
What? I’ve IR locked F5s at twice that range when they’re running ABs, with 9Bs. That’s hyperbolic from your end.
why would you does not matter ifg in real life it does not its ingene is so hot no flares would make it almost impossible to play
I haven’t been able to lock a single F-5C from 1km+ distance with AIM-9D/G(Even when I’m at their 6)
İnteresting.
Cause i can get a lock on F5 from 2-3km in rear aspect without issue.
Also if İtalian F-104’s can have countermeasures because of German and Turkish F-104s having countermeasures on Us F5C shouldnt be a problem.
I have no problem with that.It can have CMs for balance.
I’ll try to record some in game footage.
