The difference is that once the F-5 starts pulling AoA, it also turns really well. The T-2 doesn’t.

I do wish Gaijin didn’t make ahistorical changes for “balance” while placing vehicles at BRs where they should be balanced with their historical performance.

I think honestly it would be 10.3 with or without flares, the FM is simply too good and it can carry rocket pods or something.
But i’d rather it had flares, though I think it could easily be 10.7 based on its FM.

Making it 10.7 would be a possible solution as well
Works for me, Hell i’d even suggest it got a better missile if it went up, so long as it saw flight models that can compete with it more often.
No it’s not. And it’s perfectly balanced at 10.3 with flares.
It’s much better then anything at 9.7 let along at 10.0 without flares.
We have the G.91YS at 9.7 with no flares and aim-9Bs.
10.3 with no flares or move it as it currently is to 10.7 and the F-5E to 11.0

you dont get the autovictory against flareless jets the T-2 gets. So 9.7 is probable
Su-17M2 would like to disagree.
You see the weird pod below the MiG-21SMT in WT? That’s the ECM pod that includes a pack of 64 countermeasures. It’s added automatically when Flares are enabled in the mods window, however, the Su-17M2 was also capable of carrying the ECM pod, yet where is it. it’s the most famous example, because there are other jets lacking flares when they should have

Su-17M2 is the single best dogfighter at 10.3 along with having R-60s.
It rose from 10.0 to 10.7 during its airspawn days because of how powerful it was.
Mig-21SMT is a worse fighter than Su-17M2, and Mig-21SMT is slightly better than F-5C.

the hell. We’re not talking about combat capabilities back then, we’re talking about FLARES. I responded to your post that said that every jet had flares by mentioning a jet that does not have its flares.

Anyways, here’s a bug report about it.
11 people agreed with it and there are two sources.
It’s been sitting in the dust for a year now without any official rsponse, and that’s the first thing that comes up when searching for it. Which shows how its ignored despite public agreement

M2 itself doesn’t have the equipment.
M3 does, which is why it has flares, which the Syrian one can have more.
M4 it was fully standardized.
No matter what, we see what happens when F-5A-like aircraft don’t have countermeasures: They go to 9.7.
Whether it’s Mig-21S, or T-2, or others.
People have an issue with those 9.7s as is, and those 9.7s have issues facing all-aspect missiles.
M2 doesn’t have the equipment, but still can carry the ECM pod, which has 64 flares included, so techncally it can have flares just like the SMT has them
