Does GR1 manuel states it is compatible with flares or it did use flares during it service life? No.
Does Chinese and Japanese F104’s manuels states they are compatible with countermeasure systems or indicates that they used during their time? İf so make a bug report.
Also let me remind you even tho GR1 never armed with SRAAM in real life it has that armament in this game because manuel indicates it was compatible.
I think you should realize a lot of these things are “optional” Additions that can be considered part of balancing and placing vehicles at a appropriate BR in Warthunder
F-5C didnt used flares either, so thats another no. So why it have em. Typical Gaijin double standards when it comes to premiums, they did the same with Italian TAF,it didnt had flares irl,they gave it to it for “balance reasons” so ppl would buy it,then ppl raged why premium got em and TT one didnt,so they added em to TT one aswell.
F-5C is compatible with countermeasures system and other F-5 models on different countries shows it used during its service time.
İf we apply same Logic to every vehicle your precious GR1 should loose its SRAAM,F-4F’s should loose their Aim9-J’s, İtalian F104S’s should loose their Countermeasure systems,Swift F7 should loose its cannons cause it was never armed irl, Yak-141,F-16AJ should be removed from the game,Barak-II should loose its Sparrows and get its Python-4’s and Usa F-16C models should only armed with Amraam for BVR engagements.

Like the consistant thing in Warthunder is that making stuff up isn’t ok. And satisfying that requirement allows for quite a few liberties. Which in this case adding armaments/countermeasures to some aircraft that could mount them

AJ shouldnt be ig as it never exist, Yak-141 exist and flew so thats fine,Barak should indeed never get Sparrows,16C could use late Sparrows without issues and did so in early 1990s. GR.1 with SRAAMs is right here,F-4F should indeed never get 9J but get its 9L like British Phantoms,i am totally fine with 104S not having CM as it didnt had em irl.

??? If it doesnt have any, then its simply not compatible. There was not the option. Until that option was introduced on later model such as F-5E. Thats like saying,give pre MSIP F-15A flares,cause it was compatible with em. If it would be compatible with em,it would have em and never needed MSIP upgrade to begin with to get them.
All F-5A family of aircraft, that includes the F-5C, could be retrofitted with flares

I dont even have F-5C lmao. But i can clearly see that plane is broken. Together with its nearly non existant heat signature. I would love to see the flares getting removed so 10.3 planes get more breathing space. Considering there are only few planes at that BR carrying flares and F-5C can just outpull any missle it meet on that BR without having to use flares.

Exactly,cause its sealclubbing plane, that barely have any competition and its staying at 10.3 only cause tons of noobs that have no idea what they are doing bought it.
If F-5C is broken, so is Mirage 3E, F-1, Jag GR1A/French, F-8E Crusader…

Mirage 3E is more powerful than F-5C from my experience BTW.
I mean thats a balancing suggestion. If you think a lower BR flareless jet would be better, thats a suggestion on can make.
But idk if that flight performance at a lower BR would be prefferable

If subsonic Ariete with no flares can be 9.3 and meet supersonic planes and all aspect missles all only because it turns well, i see no reason why F-5C with flares being basically better Ariete should stay at 10.3
Or people like you have no idea how to counter it so they basically calls F-5C as a sealclubber.
Mig21-MF-SMT,Mirage 3 family and smiliar planes can easily counter F-5C not to mention any competetive player will basically circle around F-5C cause they know once F-5C loose its speed its basically easy target.
