F-5A(G) (132) - 50th Anniversary of the Royal Norwegian Air Force 1994

F-5A(G) (132)
-50th Anniversary of the Royal Norwegian Air Force 1994

HISTORY
The Royal Norwegian Airforce were established the 10th of November 1944 when the old Air Defence branches, the Army’s Air Force and the Navy’s Air Force was united into the Royal Norwegian Air Force (Luftforsvaret) as the Norwegian Army’s 3rd branch. This establishment occurred by royal decree during the Second World War, then by the Norwegian government in exile led by Johan Nygaardsvold, with Oscar Torp as Minister of Defense.

With the anniversary the 10th of November in 1994, the F-5A(G) of the No.336 Tiger Squadron with the tail number 132 were painted in the flag markings commonly used by the two Norwegian air force branches before the second world war. This has troughout history been done to both the F-16’s and Starfighters at different times. With this being taken in 1994 if is of the latest upgrade of the F-5A(G) (F-5A(G)-40).

The reason i am suggesting this, is that it would be an historical camouflage for the newly implemented F-5A(G) event plane, and would serve as an decorative and quite cool looking camo that could be obtainable from either an event, such as an national day celebration or simply trough an chest as with many of the current skins are, it could also be a grindable camouflage witch are obtained after a couple hundred kills in-game.

Luftforsvarsmuseet on Instagram: "To mark the 50th Anniversary of the Royal Norwegian Air Force in 1994, this Northrop F-5A tail no 132 of No. 336 Squadron was painted in the flag markings used by the two Norwegian air forces pre-WWII. Tail no 132 was taken on charge in December 1970 and served with both Nos. 338 and 336 Squadrons. It was withdrawn from use in February 1995 and loaned to Bardufoss Vocational School as an instructional airframe. Our museum in Bodø and Collection at Gardermoen have F-5As on display. #avgeek #avnerd #avpics #aviation #pilot #military #aviationphotos #airshow #warbird #warbirds #oldairplanes #instagramaviation #instagramaviationphotography #militaryaviation #militaryaviationphotography #aviationmuseum #airplanes #foraltvihar"
