If you want that, Buy a premium mig-21 in the soviet TT and grind out the soviet TT for the Su-30

No one is saying that the other nations SHOULDN’T get it, just that Germany should be the first since the others have a competent platform currently. I’m surprised you don’t understand this.

I know as Brit, I’d love something like the Torando WTD61 for our tree (in fact there are options for a premium tornado). All we’ve gotten is strictly speaking recently are fighters, (Sea Vixen, Lightning, F4, Mig-21)
- Japan only has the F4EJ ADTW which I think is showing its age pretty hard (AV-8S will be nice, but only 9.7 and the harriers have issues)
- Italy only has the AMX A-1A which is rather over BRed in air modes (F-104 is no on sale)
- Sweden is just getting the JA37DI (which might be very weak)
- Israel only has the Kfir Canard which I think has some major issues
So 3 pretty decent premiums vs a fair few with none is not half bad going. Su-22 looks like the perfect aircraft to add for the role which is CAS for GRB.

Yeah they need something. Best stop-gap measure I’ve seen is getting the Thai fighter and put a talisman on it.

Well the viggen is a good platform, just requires a lot of skill to use so I don’t think it will be weak.
Not saying Israel doesn’t/shouldn’t get a higher premium but the Kfir Canard is a really good premium if you know how to use it.
No one plays the su22 for CAS for Germany? You’re better off trying to use the IDS, even then most people would just try and use the UHT.
AMX would be fine if it was 10.7, the slightly better AAMs are the only difference to the TT which is 10.7. Thats why no one plays it. I got it on the sale, but not really used it yet, was waiting for it to be 10.7 in Sim, but that never changed.
Issue with the Viggen is a combo of no IRCCM, underperforming FM and BOL. It might be fine, but gunna have some notable weaknesses without fixes in the future. Seen a lot of bug reports submitted for it in recent weeks though, including HMS I think.
Someone made a good comment on the Su-22 and actually, would be good if more were like this. Su-22 is excellent if you need top tier CAS but dont want to grind the whole TT, but doesnt lock you out of an aircraft if you have it on the TT. I wish more were like that. Things like the Sea-Vixen and A-6 are annoying because they are locked behind a paywall.
I agree about more premiums should be like this and not lock you out of it. But the su22 is one of those jets where, yes it may be good if you don’t have anything else, but is just an aircraft that won’t be used or really even bought in the long term. I wouldn’t be surprised if, say a year, we see its being removed from sale or become a GE premium.
You never know. There are some wierd decisions made with premiums. Like the Harrier Gr1 is still alive and kicking on sale, despite being a rather niche and rather disliked aircraft that catches people out as it has no CMs unlike the AV-8A and AV-8S with 240 CMs at the same BR. Been on sale for like 3 years
But the Lightning F53 which was and is quite a decent premium fighter, only lasted 3 months.

Yeah its weird, but Germany has the IDS and Lazur in the same BR which reinforces the “Why even buy it?”.
Guided munitions for GRB. Thats it from what I can tell. WTD61 is looks like a fun but rather niche CAS for 10.3 but useless any higher. No idea what BR (GRB) the Mig-21 is nor its performance, but again, relies mostly on the Rockets for A2G right?
Su-22 adds KH-29s which is probably gaijins way of bodging the fact people were mad the WTD61 doesnt have guided weapons.

Even then, we’re still mad XD. Mainly because its a C&P of a subpar aircraft.

As an air main. that is no small buff for it. Kinda hoping for the Saudi Tornado Gr1 as a WTD61 for our tree. at some point. (also would be really fun to do carpet bomb runs with my 10.7 line-up in GRB which is my main BR for Ground at the moment if/when I play ground)
Tornado has so much potential though, if they just finished it. (like radar, ECM and loadout options like CBUs, I imagine your stance for the WTD61 would change rapidly if it had MW-1)
