Every Luftwaffe Phantom II in the game lacks the ability to carry a centreline SUU-23 Vulcan gunpod, despite seemingly having an identical centreline pylon with the regular US F-4E which could carry it (and does in-game). It doesn’t seem to be a weight restriction since that station can carry heavier loads, is this something like an electrical/hydraulic power draw restriction?
I’ve tried looking for a Luftwaffe manual but it seems they cost money to access…
I’ve been wearing a gunpod on the starboard outboard station just for the extra gun time & ammunition, but the offset is somewhat annoying and I’m wondering if I could just carry a centreline one. A symmetrical load weighs it down quite a bit and has significant drag in the trans-sonic zone.
