Even after the manufacturer leaked the RCS of the SU-57 confirming it to be as bad as that of an F-18 Super Hornet, people STILL think it is a 5th gen aircraft? It is 4.5 gen at best, and certainly nowhere near close to the F-22 and F-35.
You can also easily tell that it is as stealth-oriented as a Rafale, which is to say that it isn’t basically at all, due to the exposed engines, exposed screws, no special paint etc.

Not too mention the fact it’s apparently such a massive IR signature that IRST can detect the Su57 at long range with ease.

If one looks at what is known about the aircraft its that it is reduced radar visibility, not “stealth”.
Which puts it in the same category as Rafale, and per some estimates/resources in the same ballpark of RCS.
So if you are gonna put SU-57 in that list you might aswell add in Rafale
And EF
is stealth making the aircraft to be 5th gen? Nope

heck since there is the F-16AJ for Japan maybe we can get a armed version of the X-2 Shinshin or one of the planned production versions. at least for one of the designs some components where built to be specific design 23DMU which is basically just an upscaled armed X-2 Shinshin the mid section and weapons bay were built for testing purposes.

I do wonder what the “line” will be for WT air. For ground, it appears they are willing to add vehicles that have yet to enter service like the 2S38. But for Air I wonder if it will be the same/will they draw a line at a certain type of vehicle. I.E nothing higher than Gen 4.5.
But if pre-production/prototypes are likely, then I wonder if we will ever see something like the Tempest for Britain and Japan.
If you all’s guys still think, what Su-57 not F-35 RCS type jet. (Su-57 have radar blockers in air inlet ( new S typical air inlet don’t get him more RCS reduction but you get worst fly performance, and lost rear weapon bay ), hes full covered in RAM (all Russia planes after 10s also ).
It’s YF-23, plane, what have smaller RCS than YF-22.

Currently it’s no longer Tempest but GCAP, in collaboration with U.K, Japan, Italy. tho design wise they are originally U.K (Tempest) and Japan (F-X) which have been merged together. Tho these are gen 6 aircraft now not sure if they will be a seperate rank or in the same one also these are at least 5 to 10 years out sadly.
