Ironically, I have beaten F-20s in a gunfight, in the Tornado GR4. I would actually be semi confident doing the same in the GR7. Epsecially given the average skill level of F-20 players
The Harrier GR.7? It would sealclub the F-20 in a dogfight.
The F-20 handles like a heavier F-5E but with a lot better capacity to regain energy in a straight line. Turning is not that good.

12.0 would be fine in the current compression until major fixes were actually done
I think it’s fine at 12.3, wouldn’t mind if it was 12.0, but 11.7 is too low. For me its good at 12.3

The DL is a lot more useful on the longer range SARHs like the ER, that’s not to say it’s never useful on the shorter range 27R, but it don’t really have the energy to do things like target switching that you can do with the ERs and to a lesser extent the 7Ps.
Ok, I got the impression that you guys where comparing the overall platforms, not just the missiles themselves.
It would take a lot of decompression before the Bison could move up IMO, it’s missiles are about all it realy has going for it.
No, I agree, I’m not trying to use it as a standard, rather an example of the compression that is making life miserable for lower BR planes. IMO at the very minimum all ARH carriers (and the Su-27/33) should move up a BR step and the F-15s return to 13.0.

It’s a mediocre but speedy FM that works well enough to zoom in and out of engagements, with an amazing missile kit for the BR, a very good radar and HMD. I think it has plenty going for it at 12.3.
I advocated for it to go to 12.7 a while ago, but since now we have the F-18C early and the AIM-9M F-16 carriers at 12.7, and even worse, the F-15s too. I can’t keep that take right now. I think its too strong for 12.3, just like the F-18A, but can’t really be moved up now

Yeah, it’s one of those planes where it’s decent at it’s BR, OP in a down tier and painful to play in an up tier.
It dose have the option of carrying R-77s IRL, which would allow it to make better use of it’s radar, which is really good as you say, but the 2 R-27Rs don’t really let you get the best out of it, however R-77s would mean 13.0 minimum and I don’t think it would do so well there currently.
12.7 with the R-27ER might be ok, but I’m not sure it carried them, and then there is the issue of upsetting paying customers that comes with making large changes to premiums.
There’s no doubt the F-20 is a great aircraft, but it’s absolute hell when you run into players with ARH (excluding Phoenix) in bottom-tier matches—other than that, it’s fantastic.
