That’s a joke right?
Basically it’s a worse F-16 with 2 less missiles, imo it’s obvious and makes perfect sense for it to be 11.7
After playing the game for so long, you don’t need to play a vehicle a lot to assess it’s power level. A few matches and test drives is enough, especially for planes.
The Mirage-2000 which is better in almost every way is 11.7
Still arguing with only 4 battles. Since your opinion is based on lack of experience on the f-20 i’m going to ignore it. You haven’t played enough to gain the necessary vehicle specific skills to operate it well enough.
Why not? It is super fast, super maneuverable, the engine is insanely powerful for the size of the airframe, has a true PD radar (not PDV), AIM7Fs, 6 AIM9Ls, and a radar guided gun. I would rather have the F-20 than the F-14B at 12.0 To be honest, the only thing the F-14B has on it is the AIM9Ms.
F-14B does not have 9M
My bad, meant 7Ms. Wanna talk about all those other things I mentioned, or did you want to just point out I made a slight mistake.
I’d still rather take the F-14B, infinite flares and chaff, 8 missiles, can take 2 buffed phoenixes alongside 7M (my preferred loadout) as semi reliable Fox3s, has thermals for ground RB, TWS mode. Yes it’s headon radar but the radar on f-14 is still very good.
Cool, your preferences for vehicles doesn’t mean that those other vehicles need to move up/down in br. The F-20 is a close in fighter, and it is pretty amazing at that, even at 12.0. The F-20 completely outclasses the F-14A in everything except the amount of SARH missiles it has. It flies better than the F-14B and carries more IR missiles, but lacks those better SARH missiles as it is a close in fighter. The F-20 being 12.0 is absolutely fine.
I made a joke that it was the F16 at home the other day. Someone literally said “don’t you mean F-18? It uses its engine” and I mean… like man… go read the Tigershark lore haha
You shouldn’t even be firing Aim-7F from 40Km anyways, so the buff is basically useless
This is true, it’s the F-16 we have at home.
But still I’ll be using it because it’s good money maker, I don’t have anything to research in USA tree but the SL earns are good.
Guys don’t worry, clueless American main statistics (the weakest player base in the game) will ensure It goes down to 11.7 in 2 patches at most
I concur that it belongs at 11.7. Anyone saying 11.3 is nuts.
Over the F-5E Tiger II;
It gains superior flight performance. + .3
It gains SARH capability. + .3
It gains all aspect IR guided missiles. + .3
(There are also some GRB stuff like target designation and CCIPs being added, but nothing to really influence the BR of it too much)
This reasoning suggests a 1 point Br increase. Just compare it to the F-16s and it’s glaringly obvious it doesn’t belong at the same BR. It was designed to be less capable, just more cost effective and inexpensive. It is the budget F-16, not an F-16, nor as capable or deserving of the same BR as it.
Ofc, Aim-120As might flip the script a bit. Since as far as I’m aware it can carry 4 of them compared to the ADF’s 2 (correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve heard it was only 2 for the F-16ADF, need to look into it)
Knowing the American premium users who don’t even know how to use SARH missiles or radars most of the time, (or what countermeasures are) give it a week a max lmfao
Tru dawg
Love it when an F-4S slams headon into R-27s trying to flare it without chaff lmao (chaff wouldn’t work either headon but at least it’s for intended purposes, unlike flares lol)
At least once a week when I slam a F-4S flying high and bombing (ofc) they go
“Why can’t I chaff (sometimes they say flare lmfao) it?,
then say something they shouldn’t,
And then immediately dip before I can tell them how PD and chaff work,
