F-16I Sufa: The Negev Storm

It doesnt have better fm cuz its much heavier
Radar we will see and maw isnt something crazy

Which is worse then aim 120b

So yea we need python 4 (neefed irccm) or 13.7

Btw not a single source claiming it used aim9

F-16 Fighting Falcon?
Looks more like a turkey to me

Hasn’t stopped them from putting Brimstone 1s on the EFT

It didnt used brim 1?

Never did, only Brimstone 2 onwards.
And neither Italy or Germany ever put any kind of Brimstone on their Typhoons

Lmao

Shouldnt be like that

All F-16s have AIM-9 integrated. There are no sources suggesting this capacity was removed with Sufa.

Not sure what makes it 14.0, considering the AIM-120C5 is a downgrade over the AIM-120B, and general flight performance remains inferior to the F-16C, even with the F-16I missing 1,100 kg of empty weight as of the most recent Dev server. The F-16I should be 13.7 IMO as an F-16C side grade with worse flight performance and worse missiles but better situational awareness. I’m aware that battle ratings are a work in progress. However, I wanted to get my two cents in regardless.

Is the next major update releasing next week? Checked the official War Thunder Instagram; they said “maybe”

No. The Python 4 is far too powerful for the game. Beyond its dual-band seeker which is practically unflarable, its flight performance is far to strong and would drive the F-16I (which is completely fine at 14.0 btw) to at very minimum 14.7, likely 15.0. The Python 4 has a range of 20km, can pull >50g, has a 90 degree of-bore-sight angle, and can turn a full 180 to destroy a target behind the launching aircraft at speed.
And if your counterargument is “but it’s a 4th generation missile :(” then I have nothing more to say to you as debunking that argument isn’t even worth the breath.

We always announce the day before when its due to come with a maintenance announcement. You will have to stay tuned to the news im afriad.

The Python 4’s IRCCM in-game is seeker shut-off combined with a slight FOV shrink. In practice, it is identical to the AIM-9M in this regard. The F-16I is not fine at 14.0, considering it retains worse flight performance than the F-16C while equipping worse missiles. The AIM-120C5 turns considerably worse than the AIM-120B and has worse acceleration within 5-15 km where turn-in turn-out engagements happen. The only thing that should be 14.7 - 15.0 is the Rafale, not the F-16I.

@Stona_WT Where’s Python 5?!

man be happy you atleast got a new jet, if you dont like it you dont need to play it
simple)

Python 5 is a generation ahead of all current IR missiles for aircraft.

The F-16I used the Aim-9L and Aim-9M given they were in their excess stockpiles, plenty of images of it. Regardless it’s fully compatible anyway.

I’d more just want the Python 4 just for the historical aspect of it. I don’t really understand why Gaijin is perfectly fine with adding other missiles in an artificially nerfed state for balance(such as the Magic’s pulling less Gs or Mica having a completely made up range of 50km) yet when it comes to Israeli missiles the excuse is always it’d be too op with refusal to add it in a nerfed state.

If I play another nation’s aircraft I want to play with that nation’s weaponry as that’s what makes that nation’s version of an American aircraft more unique.

The engine is less powerful than the F-16C, and the only difference between the two radars is that one has 10 km more range. The AIM-120C5 is worse than the AIM-120B in-game. There’s nothing that justifies it being 14.0 at all.

Also consider that the flight performance will be SIGNIFICANTLY worse once the empty weight gets corrected to 10 tons from the 8.9 tons it is set to currently.
