F-16C is lacking behind the new jets in means of flight performance and arsenal. It should get the new AIM-120C-5

You act like the 120C-5s would be a meaningful upgrade for the 16C. AIM-120Bs are superior in any distance below 20ish KM, and so the 120C-5 only really benefits the primary jets competing in BVR- i.e F-15Es.
As for flight performance, sure the F-16C isn’t the best of the 13.7s (block 15s, JAS39Cs and the F-2 outperform it) but its not unuseable
The F-16C is by no means meta but you can still do well in it

If the AIM-120C-5 gets buffed to acutally be better than the A and B in every possible scenario, then a lot more jets should get it, if not there is really no point to threads like this

Hopefully eventually we’ll get both more aircraft above the current 14.0s and a decompression. Both of which will favour the f16C remaining at 13.7 as it will give the US an aircraft at a lower BR than the F15C, F15E and F18C.
Increasing the BR of the F16C up to 14.0 (especially assuming C5 gets eventually buffed) just seems like shooting the US in the foot in the long run
Because it means more zo grind for nothing
B’s are okay as well. If it’s gets C5 it will eventually also get the B variant too.
AIM-120A and B in game are identical. theres no reason for the 16C to get 120Bs

anyway, there is no reason for it to get the B? Like why even bother? Do you really care about the final letter on the missile that much?
It doesn’t need C as the only aircraft with the C-5 are at 14.0.
Just wait for a better version of the 16C to be added to the game.

A & B are 100% identical. The F-16C would gain absolutely nothing from it.
F-16 doesn’t use BOL, but the PIDS pylons would do basically the same thing, it’s the one on the F-16AM

Because why would you want to use a worse missile
US F-16 has used PIDS before, more recently they have gotten the MAWS type iirc

and who does realistically dies from long range shots?
Only afk players do, so why would you ever want to use a missile that’s worse than it’s entire competition at the most relevant things, while only being slightly better in a thing that’s almost useless
Nobody. I do bvr shots every match(for fun i know theyre wasted missiles). 40/45 kilometers. I never get kills
