F-16C Block 50 should get the AGM-88

120C is a downgrade. But according to gaijin’s BR placements, yes it would go to 14.0 like the F-16I and sit by its side collecting dust aswell

I quite literally said “the bomb pylon on the maw pod for the F-16AM is the real pylon F-16’s use” never said it had PIDS, which it doesnt

Not a downgrade at all yall js dont like to BVR fight so u use 120A/B

My playstyle at top tier consists mostly of climbing and shooting missiles at distances where the enemy needs to notch and can’t outrun them, preferably at distances where the enemy doesn’t have time to notch. The aim-120c doesn’t provide much benefit while losing in agility and acceleration for shorter ranges.

If I have the choice, I usually bring a couple 120C for the initial BVR push and the rest would be 120A/B

Close range performance is better for the average air RB environment.
Especially if your missile count is limited

Short time to target and high manouverability matter more than giga larp range performance

There’s a good reason as to why good players prefer the 120A/B over C.
120A/B is just objectively better in the areas that actually matter

Making it quite literally a downgrade

Good luck trying to prove me wrong here

it isn’t a downgrade over the c-5 at least however that’s based off before the weight increase, because they allow it to pull tighter than the C-5 still much worse than the A and B and now its heavier making it worse at BVR than the c-5 for most long range shots i.e. 40-30km because funnily enough most people aren’t at high enough speeds and alt yet by the time their 60-50km out to allow the missile to use the extra guidance time

?
I was not talking about the AIM-120D

The 120D nerf is completely irrelevant as it changes next to nothing.

Wow cool, it impacts less .1s later on 60km shots
Huge nerf
Turn perf is practically the same still

120D is a buff over 120C anyways since GNSS is basically improved IOG

And best performing plane in ARB for several consecutive months is Rafale, with MICAs that are nothing like AMRAAMs.

Almost like BVR performance isn’t really that important.

Huh

BVR, sadly, does not work.

Since ARH seeker activates at 16km which immidiately alerts your RWR, plane still has relatively enough time to perform defensive action.

A low energy missile, such as C5 shot at long range, simply doesnt have energy to keep up with evading plane (and then you also have to account for chaff).

Only chance to succesfully intercept a player with ARH is to fire it under such conditions that dont allow him to defend properly, be it when he is in low energy state or when you have such large energy advantage that time to target is minimal.

Tbh whenever i fly out the MKK with R-77s i do miss that little bit of range advantage PL-12s have over them, but thats due to how i play, if i could id take PL-12s on EFT if I could lol

Fair enough.
I’d just take R-27ERS though

Ye, most optimal loadout would be mix of R-77s and PL-12s to cover all ranges but who has time to track which missile you have selected

I want to be flanker main in TSS

So uhh, yes

Never had much success with them on MKK for whatever reason. Might be the radar, might be my skill issue, who knows.

Let me know if you get around to playing MKK how they go for you.

Then everyone else (who can) should also get HARMs, Kh-31s, ALARMs, etc etc.

Though it is hilarious when you do get BVR kills. got a 45km ish kill the other day against an Su-30SM2.

we kinda need this, i mean while russia has a supersonic AGM thats pretty good at taking out anything then i dont think its too far fetched to ask for an anti radiation missile that targets SPAAs. That would make destroying modern SPAA units soo much easier rather than using any other weapon available to NATO countries. Since most of them cant even go/stay above Mach 1 and are taken out of the sky like theyre nothing.
