Can you drop a link, I wanna read it?

No way, is that semi-recessed AMRAAM?

Yeah, they did it a little different for the F-16XL, they’re more apparent on the left one but still visible on the right

Hell yeah tomcat supremacy (The AWG-9 is still horridly nerfed ingame)

F-16C, and all other APKWS carriers in-game for that matter, are missing proximity fused variant.

I want to add something to this thread, and it’s to demonstrate the IRL counterparts (non-marketplace skins and non-“event” skins) to what we see in-game. I decided on this after noticing a few “generic” skins in the game for these aircraft. This is VERY image-heavy.

USA

F-16A Block 10
The first of the American F-16s is a “generic” (I say this because it lacks a serial number on the tail) F-16A Block 10 operated by the 428th TFS. This aircraft has no other non-marketplace skins.

428th TFS F-16A Block 10 Aircraft

F-16A Block 15 (ADF)
The second of the American F-16s is a Block 15 aircraft upgraded under the Air Defense Fighter program, which gave the existing radar of Block 15 aircraft a CW illuminator for use with AIM-7 Sparrow missiles. The one in-game is aircraft #81-0786 of the 114th FS. This aircraft has no other non-marketplace skins.

114th FS F-16 Block 15 ADF #81-0786 (1992-1997?)

F-16C Block 50
This aircraft is the first (and currently only) of the American F-16s that has access to the AMRAAM. This aircraft has 4 USAF skins and one Iraqi Air Force skin. The years represent when the respective livery was used.

77th FS F-16C Block 50 #91-0353 (2021-present)

78th FS F-16C Block 50 #91-0383 (1994-2004)

179th FS F-16C Block 50 #91-0391 (2012-present)

77th FS F-16C Block 50 #94-0047 (2020-2023)

IQAF 9th FS F-16C Block 52 #1614

Japan

F-16AJ
This aircraft was marketed towards Japan by General Dynamics in order to provide an option for their FX program. The F-16 acquisition never materialized and therefore all the skins for it are “alternate history”, with a generic grey camo and two based off existing F-2As.

Grey camo as seen on a F-15DJ (I just cannot find this for an F-2A)

F-2A 501

F-2A 509

F-16A Block 15 OCU
These aircraft were delivered to the Royal Thai Air Force under the Peace Naresuan programs.

103rd Sqn F-16A Block 15 OCU #10307

403rd Sqn F-16A Block 15 OCU #40317 (2015-present?)

103rd Sqn F-16A Block 15 OCU #10311 (2008-2011?)

China

F-16A Block 20
The sole F-16 in the Chinese tree is a generic aircraft (lacks serial) of the 22 FS of the 455 TFW. China received F-16s under the Peace Fenghuang program.

22 FS / 455 TFW F-16A Block 20 #6628

Italy

F-16A Block 15 (ADF)
The Italian Air Force received 25 F-16A ADF aircraft under the Peace Caesar program. The default skin in-game is generic (lacks serial). There are two more skins.

23 gruppo F-16A Block 15 (ADF) #MM7251 (2004-2008 and 2008-2010)

10 gruppo F-16A Block 15 (ADF) #MM7249 (2009-2011)

Belgium

Israel

F-16A Block 10
Many of the Israeli F-16s were originally meant for Persia under the Peace Zebra program, but were later given to Israel under the Peace Marble programs.

Tayeset 110 F-16A Block 10 #237

F-16C Block 40
This aircraft was given to Israel under the Peace Marble III program.

101st Sqn F-16C Block 40 #542

This aircraft was given to Israel under the Peace Marble III program.

105th Sqn F-16D Block 40 #610

MANAT F-16D Block 40 #601

F-16A Block 5
This aircraft is unique in war thunder as it is an active civilian aircraft with Top Aces. It had been assigned to several squadrons.

This man is clinically insane

I want a remake once they add F-16C BLK 30, F-16D BLK 40 (USAF), F-16E blk 60, F-16V block 70, and F-16C PoBIT lol

Why do you want an F-16D?

Because it’s the first jet to ever get an AMRAAM kill

I want it just because I want more two-seaters in the game…
