- why are you talking about features from the block 2 version of the AIM-9X? that’s like saying the F-15A is too advanced for war thunder because the F-15EX has AESA.

Clearly you haven’t read up a lot on it.
Same reason we don’t talk about the difference between the 9M block 1 vs 9M block 10.
Also don’t use the aircraft comparison especially a 15A to 15EX. That is large strawmaning when you had so many variations between compared to the 9x which is just the next modification to the block.
War Thunder isn’t ready for the 9X without severely nerfing it like the brimstones. Period.

It was launched outside the range the AIM-9X is meant for…… yes within the range the 9X is capable of but not what it’s meant for.
If he is referring to the SU-22 it was launched well within engagement range.

Might have been 70’s, it was over Libya I’m pretty sure. Well within normal range and just whiffed it. I thought it was from the 50’s or 60’s but seems like you know what I’m referring to.

LOFT, LOAL and much more, plus it has drag reductions and so much more that it has range comparable to early sparrows, possibly something like 6km in wt
all IR missiles can do the same irl including R-3S because they just need to track a heat signature
pretty sure they stopped being able to do this with 9J and 9G but went back to it after the 9L, something something flare resistance iirc

Weather they stopped being able to lock onto ground targets or not. The 9X is doing it on high speed cigar boats. From what he has shown the targets being locks on could have issues in some environment.
Is the ordnance release limit at mach 1.0 historically accurate? This plane can supercruise. It feels nonsensical.
When will his BR in realistic air battles be raised to 14.0?
