No, totally different.
Gripen can be used as either but poorly for both, if you want any ARH you have to ditch a notable amount of your A2G.
2x Aim-9M, 2x R-darter/AMRAAM and 2x AGM-65 in the Gripen Vs 2x Aim-9M, 2x AMRAAM and 6x AGM-65 for the F-16C
Harriers and tornados are not mutliroles except partially the AV-8B+ but again, you have to ditch a notable amount of A2G for an AMRAAM.
Yes I could spawn in a Gripen with 4x AGM-65 die and respawn in a tornado, but a tornado doesn’t have AMRAAM as even a loadout choice.
US is the ONLY nation with an aircraft fully and totally capable of air superiority classed as a strike aircraft that can also outperform most in A2G role AND a fighter that can outperform most in A2A and CAS.

I was wondering if the f-15E were ever operated without CFT? If yes Gaijin could impose them on the airframe and it would make them less performant and thus less OP

Its actually cant kinetically dodge fox3 if it was launched from his altitude. If F-15E/I flying at 15 km at 2M and his enemy launching r77 from the ground level - yes it can.
In merge fights F-16 is much better so is gripen and j10. Its definetely not the best jet, its just good at launching amraams from high altitude.

As someone who did play a lot of US air, it’ll be a sad day when everyone gets their 4.5+ gens and the US is stuck with pretty much what we’ve got now (as imo there’s no way they’ll add the F-22, at least an F-22 that is actually the best fighter).

They could add the prototype YF-22/23’s which had no radar so the only way to fire amraams would be maddogging them.

Yes, it can. Turning at 1.5M and continuing that angle will drain any missile, no matter how high up your enemy is. An AMRAAM fired from an F-15E/I also gets a huge speed boost.
The F-15 doesn’t have to fight in a merge because there’s no way to force one with it. No plane can catch up with it so it can ALWAYS dictate the terms of engagement. Even if it gets roped it to a merge it can stand on its engines easily, no other plane in game can do the maneuvers it can while gaining speed.
There is not a single aircraft in game anywhere close to the performance of the F-15E/I.

They really should be added before the production models of the F-22/35 come, since they would have a unique niche playstyle as a stealth ambush plane without a radar at top tier but still carrying amraams sidewinders and a gun.
Waiting for my 80€ Viggen, Gaijin…
F-15E with it’s upgraded amraams radar and avionics, specific the EPAWSS and the later block f16 which can and should come to USA, along with F-16C BLK 50 PoBIT which is f16c upgraded to block 70 standard with an even better ECM/EW suite
Block 2 super hornets, with an APG 79, F/a-18c+ with upgraded an apg 65 or 73 or 79v4, F-15C with BOL, AN-APG-63v3 or maybe the 82v1 if they tested it on a C.
Early F-22 armed with aim 120C, aim9m-8 or 9, no JHMCS, but top notch radar, likely best in game even with the other much newer stealth fighters
So far, though, ECM isn’t in the game yet and going off of Gaijin nerfing the PESA of the Su-34 I doubt they’ll be adding AESA as anything more than a faster normal radar.
