F-15E or Su-34

So I am very curious on what you guys think about the new American McDonnell Douglas F-15E and the Russian Sukhoi Su-34. Which are better?

F-15E is massively better than Su-34 (and better than anything else besides its brother F-15I) in air to air.

Su-34 is better than F-15E (and everything else) in air to ground.

Largely comes down to AMRAAM’s being much better than R-77 in A2A, and KH-38’s being much better than AGM-65’s in A2G.

Also worth noting that F-15E has to face Pantsirs, whereas there’s not a single SPAA that Su-34 has to face which can outrange its own missiles.

Depends what game mode you’re talking about.

For air, the F15E will outmatch the SU34 is almost all aspects. It is just a very good multi-role fighter aircraft. The AMRAAM’s and the 9ms is always a reliable combo. I can’t really give an opinion on the SU34’s AA capabilites but from what my friend tells me, it does not compare to it’s NATO counterpart

For ground, the SU34 will do a lot better at killing ground targets than the F15E because of it’s A2G weaponry, and the SPAA systems it will face.

  • not having to face pantsirs make you almost invincible to spaa systems when you’re 13km away
  • the KH38 makes it viable to launch from those distances. Since it’s extremely fast (unlike the mavericks), SPAA systems will struggle to react in time. SPAAs with tracking radar can intercept KH38s it but the ones that rely on IRST or IR/Contrast will not be able to do so.
