I can no longer carry any aim-9m’s without sacrificing the two aim-120 underneath in the outer pylon where you can have a quad stake of air to air missiles. Not sure when thy nerfed the load out but now if you want to carry any IR missiles you will lose at least two of you fox 3’s or four is you carry the aim 9’s on both sides. maybe a glitch I hope or maybe I am mistaken and that’s how its always been which I am 90% sure is not the case. lmk
because the 9M was clipping into the fins of the AMRAAMs below it

by like 1 pixel and you can argue this is a game problem not a real problem
the fins of the 9M and ammraams were literally overlapping that wasnt by 1 pixel

It wasn’t 1 pixel, it was an entire quarter of a fin.
However AIM-9Ms don’t clip if they’re mounted to the MRMLs.
As others have said it is because the Aim-9Ms fins would clip the AMRAAMs
This will not be an issue once the C GE receives the Aim-9Xs

Except if it’s not possible ingame and the missiles have their real-life dimensions, then why would it be possible in real life?
