AN/ALR-56M Radar Warning Receiver (RWR)The Loral AN/ALR-56A RWR is designed to detect incoming radar signals, identify and characterize these signals to a specific threat, and alert the aircrew through the TEWS display. The AN/ALR-56 system features four external antennae mounted on the each fin tip and on both wingtips, with a fifth blade-shaped antenna underneath the forward fuselage. The solid state ALR-56 is based on a digitally-controlled dual channel receiver that scans from 6-20 GHz, while changes in the threat can be accommodated by software modifications.
The radar of the Pantcir has a radiation of 34 GHz.RWR f-15 should not see him at all
This ARL-56M
I looked at the manual for the AN/ALR-56C including other articles and didn’t find it :-( but I suppose if the Pancir has been in service since 2003, the AN/ALR-56 should have seen it)
The book manual does not show the symbolism of threats.
Pantcir S1 2010
It’s true, TEWS on the other hand is designed to adapt, I don’t think they see it today. And then came DEWS and EPAWS.
RWR/TEWS are very secret systems.
well, for some reason, the SPO-15 removed the ability to see.Roland.Flarakrad
I always found the SPO-15 to be an old, complicated system, but it can be upgraded and still be good.
Well, the F-15 presented in the game is also up to the 90th year
Nop, radar is a fairytale pre 1979( preproduction tbh), missiles 1982 and RWR recognizes much more modern stuff bc fairytale reasons.
Its a 1979-1982 F15A with a made up fairytale radar and rwr that comes from the future…
The RWR is exactly the same you’d get on a later F15, the hardware is exactly the same, the software and recognition tables can be updated
The turkey feathers on the F-15’s engines say it’s probably from 1981, not younger. The MPCD was retrofitted on the F-15A after about 1985.
Visually, the F-15A is such a mix of different eras that I don’t know why they did it.
I don’t know how faithful the radar is. If it’s supposed to be MSIP it’s supposed to have PSP, AIM-7M
Dr. Gaijinstein’s creature?
A tech mod said around the time of the Dev Server the in-game F-15A is supposed to be representative of an Air National Guard aircraft circa 1990. It’s still a frankenplane but that’s what the devs had in mind with it.
This is still stupid, AIM-7F, Turkey feathers…
This video is five days old, and the inlets are not moving. It’s a wrong. They’re supposed to move with any change in AoA (turning, for example)
I agree with you. That was what was said when people on the forums were pointing out the inconsistencies with the F-15s. At the end of the day, the devs were set to do a F-15A mashup frankenplane and (most likely) go all in on the F-15C, at least for the US.
I’m skeptical the F-15C will be accurate though given what was done with the F-14B.
At 4:05 in that video you can see the inlets articulate back up after he levels out at 4:08, they do move just at low speeds. I don’t know if they are supposed to move at high speeds though.
Also shortly after that when he stays in the low speed dogfight you get multiple visuals of the inlets pointing down.
I remember reading that when Japan did their demonstration of the intakes moving up and down they had to be at pretty low speeds and it was hard to make them move so much. I doubt they should move nearly as much at higher speeds.
